Remove from list (Home Screen XSX)
Hello, another welcome brilliant update. Unfortunately i ran into a roadblock. It seems when you remove something from the home screen using the new remove from list option it actually uninstalls the app/game from the console, im unsure if this is intentional but if so a clearer message other than "Remove from list" would be helpful, I now gotta install 700GB of games&apps back 😅 Thanks!
Games and Apps crashes when navigating to full library
This only happens if my main gamertag is signed in - it has over 100k of items on it so I assume its timing out while indexing my ready to install list
- Does not happen if my main gamertag is signed out
- I also had to unset home console for it to not crash with other gamertags
- Tried a factory reset Series S and series X with all games wiped
- I have a video if needed
Never got the Microsoft50 badge(while enrolled)
Am I the only one who did not receive the badge? Any way to fix this? Is it because of the previous locked max of 5 badges?
Why a $200 Xbox Handheld with Physical Cartridges Is the Reset the Industry Needs

Look at the handheld market right now.
On one side, you have $600–$900+ handheld PCs (ROG Ally, Legion Go, Steam Deck OLED) running desktop OS bloat, requiring constant setting tweaks, and burning through battery life in 90 minutes. On the other side, you have cloud accessories like the PS Portal that are useless without ultra-fast Wi-Fi and a $500 home console.
There is a massive void for an affordable, dedicated, plug-and-play handheld console.
Here is how a $200–$250 Xbox Portable centered on true offline play, custom physical cartridges, and complete backwards compatibility could reset the handheld gaming landscape.
- Hardware & OS ($200–$250 MSRP)
To hit a budget $200–$250 price point, Microsoft could target a $180–$220 Bill of Materials (BOM):
* The OS ("Blades 2.0"): Instead of running full Windows, the device boots into a modernized, ultra-snappy evolution of the classic 2005 Xbox Blades UI. Zero desktop overhead, instant game boot times, and maximum battery efficiency.
* Display & Hardware: A 6-inch 1080p LCD screen, 8 GB RAM, and a customized, low-power AMD APU targeted specifically at fluid 720p/1080p performance.
* Storage Strategy: Offloads heavy game storage directly to physical media rather than forcing expensive 1TB internal SSDs into the base unit.
- The Physical Format: Xbox Solid-State Cartridges
Forget mechanical mini-discs—spinning lasers eat battery life, break when dropped, and read data at a crawl. The modern equivalent of the PSP's UMD is a ruggedized, custom Solid-State Cartridge:
* True Offline Vault Mode: Inserting a cartridge boots the game natively without mandatory server pings, online license checks, or active subscriptions.
* Physical Collector Ecosystem: Restores trade-in value, physical lending among friends, and secondhand markets while keeping delisted classic games playable forever.
* Publisher Economics: Built on open-standard flash memory housed in custom plastic caddies with full cover art. Scaled capacities (16 GB for legacy titles up to 64 GB+ for modern releases) keep printing costs low for third-party developers.
- Handheld Spin-Offs & Backwards Compatibility
Instead of trying to squeeze massive modern AAA games onto a budget mobile chip, the platform relies on two key software pillars:
* Silicon-Level Backwards Compatibility: Built-in fixed-function decoders handle legacy instruction sets directly in hardware, running 20+ years of original Xbox, 360, and Xbox One classics natively with zero emulation lag.
* Dedicated AA Spin-Offs: Partnering with mid-sized studios on fast 18-month dev cycles to build custom, mission-based handheld entries (Halo: ODST Operations, Gears: Pendulum Wars, Forza Horizon: Street Rivals).

* Captures the Mass Market: Provides a native entry point for millions of players who don't want a $500 home console or an expensive handheld PC.
* Forces PlayStation's Hand: Sony can't counter a $200 native physical device with a streaming accessory. They would be forced to pause their cloud push and build a true native "PSP 2."
* Bridges to Next-Gen: Establishing a massive handheld user base creates an immediate audience for the next generation of home consoles through unified software and shared physical cartridges.
Missing insider shield badge review - level 15/ 128 reports / 3.5 years
Hi Xbox Insider Team / Mods,
I’m writing to request a manual review for my Xbox Insider profile badges. I’ve been quietly grinding away in the program for 3 years and 5 months
(currently in the Beta ring), but my profile has never updated with any of the official Insider Shield Badges (Bronze, Silver, or Gold).
Looking at my dashboard stats, I’ve completed:
Insider Level: 15
Bug Reports Filed: 128
Surveys Completed: 128
Quests Done: 19
Longest Pulse Streak: 23 weeks
I will attached a photo of my current dashboard profile card as proof. I really want to continue doing my part to help test the ecosystem, but it feels like my account has completely slipped through the automated rewards script.
Could a staff member please take a quick look at my telemetry history and manually sync the correct shield badge to my Gamertag?
My Gamertag is: I Revd I
Thank you for your time and help!
Discord Crashing on XBOX Via Multiple Methods
Discord on XBOX is crashing through two different methods.
When a wireless headset disconnects and you reconnect it while in a Discord Call, Discord usually doesn't detect input from the mic. The workaround for this is to go to Game Chat and then return to Discord Chat. Now, immediately upon switching to Game Chat, the Discord Feature crashes. I do not get a disconnect notification. The XBOX freezes for about 5 seconds and kicks me from the Discord Call.
When in a Discord Call and you go to send a Voice Message to a friend, the same kind of crash happens. XBOX freezes for 5 seconds and Discord crashes.
I am on XBOX Series X

Left pop-up menu laggy after opening some games.
I’ve experienced this issue for a long time when launching a game: the Xbox pop-up menu doesn’t show up when invoked or becomes really laggy. This issue is still present even on Insider Delta: xbflt2680ge.260805-2200.
I’ve experienced this behavior with Starfield, Halo Campaign Evolved, Forza Horizon 6 and many other games from the game pass.
It would be really nice if possible to fix this performance issue when launching games.
Thank you.
Why can’t Microsoft reliably report Xbox controller battery level on Windows
I’ve had this issue for years and I genuinely don’t understand how something this basic still hasn’t been fixed.
I own five Xbox Wireless Controllers (Model 1914) and all five have the same problem on Windows:
- Over Bluetooth, Xbox Accessories shows “Battery level: Unknown”
- Windows Bluetooth settings shows a percentage, but it can be completely wrong
- Over USB, Xbox Accessories just says “Battery level: Plugged in” rather than telling me the actual charge
- All five controllers are on the latest firmware
- I’m using Microsoft’s official USB-C rechargeable battery packs
- I’ve reproduced the same behaviour on multiple Windows PCs
Most recently, Windows told me my controller had 100% battery. I started playing a game and the controller died shortly afterwards.
For a rechargeable wireless device, knowing whether the battery is about to die is a pretty critical function. Wireless mice, keyboards, headphones, earbuds and even many Bluetooth TV remotes can report their remaining battery level these days. I don't understand how Microsoft's own Xbox controller, connected to Microsoft's own operating system and using Microsoft's own rechargeable battery pack, can't provide reliable battery information.
This isn't just wanting a nice percentage displayed somewhere. Without accurate battery information, I can't tell whether I should charge the controller before starting a game.
Microsoft's own product page specifically advertises that the Xbox Wireless Controller can:
>“Wirelessly connect to Windows 10/11 PCs … using Bluetooth.”
So Bluetooth is an advertised way of using the controller on PC.
Microsoft support suggested USB, but that still doesn't provide an actual battery level and defeats the point of using a wireless controller anyway. They also suggested the Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows, which Microsoft no longer sells.
I've already reported the problem through Microsoft support and Feedback Hub, but it still hasn't been addressed.
Does anyone else using a Model 1914 Xbox Wireless Controller over Bluetooth on Windows have this problem? What does Xbox Accessories show for your battery level?
I’m an Xbox Insider in Omega. Can I request Alpha Skip-Ahead access? Xbox Support told me to ask here.

Voice and Game Capture Preview Update
Has anyone received the preview update that will allow us to capture party and game chat in captures on the Xbox? This is one update I have been asking and waiting for for years. I was under the impression that alpha people would be getting this update, but I have not yet. Has anyone gotten this update yet?
This is bi week for us Alpha ring members?

Insider Cloud streaming from xbox series x console is not as consistent as Cloud streaming from laptop xbox app
I had been in xbox insider delta for months before recently getting into beta. Something I've noticed about the insider features for cloud gaming is that on Xbox when I stream the game, it's not very consistent. Though I have game pass ultimate, in the settings and without getting too detailed I can choose the exact quality of my stream. But even then the stream is quite lower quality on xbox than when I stream from the xbox app on my laptop. On my low end gaming laptop, depending on, if I choose performance or quality mode in the game. My stream will switch correctly between 1440p or 1080p and about 30/40/60fps. Versus on xbox I am almost always stuck at 1080p, at least one time it said 720p and sometimes I get 1440p. The frames I get is around 60 fps but a lot of times is about 30 fps regardless of the quality or performance mode I choose. Also the image tends to be more blurry and has more input lag, plus more jitter. To be clear, I am not talking about going onto the xbox.com Xcloud gaming page in order to cloud stream with xcloud. I am talking about natively cloud streaming from your console or pc/laptop xbox app. Lastly, I have tried this out on both my 1440p 165hz monitor and my 4k 120hz tv same result for my xbox each time. What do you guys think?
Forza Horizon 6 as ad supported stream for delta tier memebers on Cloud Gaming...
Hi everyone,
Quick question I have been trying to figure out how to use the ad supported cloud gaming service with my digital owned games and I have a few questions. I bought FH6 digitally and now I would like to stream this game, but it does not show up as an option in Cloud Gaming. My Xbox insider rank is delta. Is it possible to play Fh6 via Cloud gaming with the delta status with ads? Thanks!
To this day I am still unable to download the xbox insider hub, it just gets stuck at 0% and refuses to go up
Ive tried
Restarting my console
Downloading the bundle instead of the independent app
Downloading something else first
issue with latest alpha skip builds
When turning on xbox series x it becomes sluggish and then eventually goes to a black screen then restarts then its perfectly fine tell the next time I shut it down I'm in energy mode as well it's weird and I don't know what's causing it I also can't report it at the time it happens because the console is to unresponsive to do anything at the time
