I remember watching this happening live on x factor USA sometime in 2013-2014, so not sure which season it was, but was there a time when one of the judges voted off a contestant, only to change their mind once he left and the crowd chanted that he comes back?

I remember being really shocked by how stupid this was, and also how disrespectful it was to give the other contestant false hope. I know it was a female judge that did this but I can’t find it on YouTube. Anyone remember?

Specifically in the week after their performance.

Not including winners singles or acts that performed on the show after they'd already been number one.

Nor am I including songs that got a boost because they were performed by a contestant.
