No changes in weeks?

36F, 5'4" 185lbs SAHM with insulin resistance, elevated fasting glucose, and PCOS/PMOS. Started keto months ago after a 3rd (non recurrent) miscarriage to aid in weight loss and reverse insulin resistance therefore hopefully increasing egg quality. Fell off the keto wagon for the month of April as I was vacationing and apparently coping with the loss with alcohol and food 😔 Been back on legit keto for a few weeks now and I'm not seeing any changes whatsoever. Sure, I'm a little less bloated and my cycle has regulated, which is incredible! But zero changes on scale, and no changes in how clothes fit, etc. I was around 175 before my vacations in April and I cannot get lower than like 183 on a good day.

Current macros are: 140P, 20C, 87F and I am tracking them regularly. My workouts are consistent and steps are 8-10K/day. I typically do some length of IF 6/7 days per week. I did add dairy back in my diet months ago, I haven't had it for years bc I thought it made me constipated but it doesn't seem to be an issue. However, could it be causing the lack of change if there is inflammation idk about? Have I just not done it long enough to see any movement/results? Are my macros too high? Would love any insight, thank you!

Need Hormonal Acne Advise!!! PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

Hi everyone,
I’m feeling really frustrated and would love to hear from people who have been in a similar situation.
I’ve been dealing with hormonal acne for years. I’ve gone through 3 rounds of Accutane, taken multiple courses of antibiotics, birthcontrol. The treatments did help while I was taking them, but the acne always came back after I stopped. Also I have PCOS. I don’t want to be dependent on medication forever, especially because I’d like to have children in the future.
And tried what feels like every topical treatment out there. Unfortunately, nothing has given me lasting results.
Recently, I decided to try keto because I’ve read that reducing insulin spikes and inflammation may help hormonal acne. The problem is that my sugar cravings are intense, especially around my period. I start with good intentions, but after a few days the cravings become overwhelming and I end up breaking the diet.
For those who have improved their hormonal acne through diet:
Did keto actually help you?
How long did it take before you noticed improvements?
How did you deal with intense sugar cravings?
Did anything else make a significant difference (insulin resistance treatment, supplements, lifestyle changes, etc.)?
I’m honestly exhausted from trying treatment after treatment and would really appreciate hearing your experiences.
Thank you ❤️

Asking to hear from fellow peri or menopausal women who moved to a keto / paleo or grain free-ish diet

What was your journey like? How did you transition? Are there any good resources I should look into?

Also, share please if it made things worse for or what adjustments you had to make away from pure keto / paelo.

I think paleo might be too much for me, but I could see myself following a short-term regime for a couple of weeks to then move to a keto style diet.

I exercise a lot, and there seems to be clashing research on carbs.

I need help please

I’m a 22 year old female all of a sudden last year it started burning to pee I was put on a bunch of antibiotics because people were telling me it was a uti. The antibiotics would help only while on them. Then stopped working. All of a sudden it got 10x worse a few months later it started to feel like lava under my skin I started to get these anxiety attacks once in a while and it progressed to all the time. I feel like i’m constantly nervous all the time from the time I wake up in the morning. When I press my pelvis on the left side I have pain. No doctor can rule out what’s wrong please help me find the answer of what test to run. My heart is constantly beating fast and I feel a strong pulse in my throat.

What is your experience: ketogenic diet and PTSD?

I’m interested in the connection between ketogenic metabolic therapy and PTSD.

My current thinking is that some people with PTSD may have a more vulnerable or metabolically stressed nervous system, and that improving brain energy metabolism may help with regulation, resilience, and symptom stability.

This recent case report looks at ketogenic metabolic therapy for treatment-resistant PTSD:

Diabetic on a rollercoaster

Hi all, this is my first time asking a question here after going to all kinds of doctors and not getting a unified explanation. My glucose levels go up to 13 and down to 4.5 a few times every day. One doctor told me I have diabetes and should exercise more (which I tried but it made me so tired that I had to take a nap afterwords). The other doctor told me I don't have diabetes, just insulin resistance. My OB/GYN told me it is probably linked to my hormonal imbalance (I am 46 and in perimenopause) and other doctors gave me one or another version of the same thing.

So, my question is this: I know keto can lower the glucose levels but does it actually make it lower and this will drop my lows even more? Or, does it make it more even throughout the day?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I am just very new to this.

Luteal phase - struggling!

The past few months I've been having a difficult time staying on track with low carb during luteal phase of my menstral cycle. Will my luteal phase get any easier over time the longer I stick to keto diet? I feel like such a sugar addict during luteal and it doesn't help that I have two young children with sweet treats in the pantry. I probably won't buy that junk for my kids anymore so at least I can get rid of those temptations, but it's still hardddd with how badly I crave a carb or sugar.

I've read to eat a pickle during hard times like this but The thought of eating a pickle in that moment seems so unappealing. I haven't tried it, so who knows, maybe it would work? Any helpful suggestions or encouragement?

1300 cal 100g protein 40g carbs 33g fibre 147g fat

Goal: mental health, long term health, mild fat reduction.

I made a plan where I can hit 1300 cal 100g protein 40g carbs 33g fibre 147g fat, can't seem to figure out how to push net carbs lower.

Profile: 20yrs, 51-52kg, 163.5cm. Moving out for college + stress threw my eating habits out of track.

Constraints: Vegetarian (out of habit), I cook for myself & prefer time efficient, low effort stuff.

Current line up: Almond, Basil seeds, Tofu, high protein paneer, yogurt, cumin & corriander seeds, ghee, fennel seeds, chia seed, black seasme seed, pumpkin seed, fermented yeast protein powder, Mix veg (Bell peppers, cherry tomato, pea, cawliflower, carrot, beans).

Please help me refine my plan
