Got a bust sketch of Zatanna from Dan Mora this weekend at NYCC!

I’m currently working on a 10-episode Zatanna miniseries, and I recently finished the first rough draft of the pilot! I figured I’d share it here for any Zatanna fans who might be interested in checking it out.

(The image is a commission I had done of Eiza González as Zatanna)

I know the topic around JohnZee is pretty hot here. But I think the writer and artist are fan of Zatanna as strong character on her own and have experiences writing and drawing her as such. Beside its a 10 issue pages and seems aiming for "lighter" cutesy story.

So cheers up! if anything celebrate that it's could be a good Bechdel test to see if Jamal's efforts to make Zatanna as active, engaging protagonist on her own could be battle proven.

For JohnZee fans, maybe there are gonna be some hot discussions, but if anything it's could be a good starting to show that Zatanna could be her active, strong character (narratively) even when Constantine is around.
