Lid Angle and Power On

I have my ZBook on a docking station and I have the computer fit neatly in a space drawer at work.

Unfortunately, our network administration force hibernates every night. To turn my laptop on, I need to open the laptop lid all the way 90 degrees to press the power on button and turn my computer on.

I can crack the lid open a little bit, and press the power button, but for some reason it needs to be at full 90 degrees or close.

Does anyone have a solution to where I can have the laptop lid open a little bit so if I press the on button, it will power on?

Thanks in advance

Fury g8 GPU

Please dont scream at me TOO bad. Im sure this question has been asked a million times. I did my own research but everything leads to this can be done, but it's not worth doing... to its worth doing.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/227348344741

So I bought this as an upgrade for what im currently using for graphic design. Photoshop I know it will handle but I'd like to do some gaming as well. How hard/possible is it to upgrade the GPU?

Is a refurbed ZBook Studio x360 G5 worth buying?

I'm considering buying a refurbed ZBook Studio x360 G5 with Xeon 2176M CPU and 16 GB RAM for around 560 €.

I love the design of the model and the flip functionality - but its specs seem a bit dated and ideally I need it to last 3-4 years for office work and creative hobbies.

Anyone here still have one, that you use? I would love to hear how it holds up performance wise, how the fan noise is, and any other pros/cons.

The Firefly 14 G8 can't be beat at the price. ($240 shipped , refurbished)

Despite being a 6 year old laptop, the specs on these laptops are more than enough for most people's needs. For the price new you'd be comparing it with an HP stream or a Chromebook with a Celeron.. I paid $240 for mine with the 11th gen i5 and 16gb of ram, but for $60 more you can find them with the dream color display, i7 and quadro..... Bang. For. Your. Buck.

Opinions on zbook power G10 ryzen

Hi there! An acquaintance of mine is selling a zbook power g10 with the ryzen 7840hs, igpu only version and FHD displaym

I have made some research and apparently that one comes with a proper build (except maybe for a dull display), a variety of ports including usb 4/thunderbolt 4, and dual fan cooling system, which makes me think performance should be good for heavy workloads

I would really appreciate if anyone can shed some light on this and also share your experiences.

Thanks in advance !
