So, i often see people on this sub comparing Dana to Lola, saying stuff like "Dana was a boring/unlikeable character, I preferred Lola" or "Season 4 sucked because of James, I wish Chase was here", but I really just wish people would appreciate Dana and James and their contributions to the respective seasons they appeared in.

Everytime Dana gets mentioned on any post people always jump to statements like: "she didn‘t have a lot of Lines/screentime" which, yes, is one of the biggest flaws of Dana, but this talking point is just so rehashed and is getting super repetitive in my opinion. It really isn’t necessary to mention this under every post or under every YouTube video she appears in.

In my opinion, her character was still pretty memorable and enjoyable for the limited amount of screentime she had. I guess I just wish people talked more about Dana‘s CHARACTER rather than her screentime. And comparing her to Lola really isn‘t fair, because yeah of course Lola is gonna be a more well-rounded, polished character. Lola had way more time to develop her character, while Dana only had 1 season. Considering this, Dana did pretty well.

Another common talking point people make about Dana is that she‘s always grumpy for no reason. Fair enough. But please go use that Same Logic on Sam Puckett and Jade West aswell, next time you rewatch icarly/victorious.

Seriously, I never understood why Sam and Jade get all the praise for their grumpy personality traits, while Dana gets all the flack for those EXACT same traits.
Besides, Dana literally was the inspiration for Jade and Sam. No Dana = No Jade and Sam. Put some respect on Miss Dana Cruz‘s name!

Now, about James: I don’t think I understand why people hate on James for replacing Chase in the fourth season? It’s not exactly James' fault that Chase decided to leave PCA. So why hate on him?

Plus, James was literally a really sweet boyfriend for Zoey; he was really patient, understanding and kind and didn‘t have some of the creepy traits Chase had (like being overly obsessive).

Don‘t get me wrong, I also would‘ve loved an entire season of Chase and Zoey finally dating after all that build up, but it is what it is now and I think James did the best he could to try to replace Chase. Of course he wasn‘t able to have as much chemistry with the other characters, he just got into PCA! That‘s literally normal!!

I think this whole James hate is just blowing out of proportion. I think people would appreciate Season 4 more if they just suspended their disappointment of Chase not being in Season 4 for a moment and instead just thought of James as his own character, instead of constantly thinking of him as "a replacement for Chase".

TL;DR: People constantly talking about Dana‘s screentime instead of her character is really annoying and the hate against James for replacing Chase is unwarranted because it‘s not James‘ fault Chase left PCA. Give Dana and James another chance, people!

Am I just imagining this, or did Zoey get a tan in Seasons 3 and 4? Because in Seasons 1 and 2, her skin wasn’t like that—it was fair, without that orange undertone.

Quinn Misses the Mark is obviously when they both finally kiss and obviously at least Quinn realizing her feelings for Logan, but when do you all think Logan started to develop romantic feelings for Quinn? And when do you all think Quinn started to develop a crush on Logan (even if she didn't realize her feelings for him until after her breakup with Mark)?

If she hadn’t been on Drake and Josh’s show, she would have been cast as Zoe’s enemy, and not Rebecca Chase’s ex-girlfriend from season 3.

The spent the whole time of trying to keep their a relationship a secret from their friends because they’re embarrassed. Then we got nothing.

I find it hard to even call this a "relationship" because Vince is essentially grooming Lola into being together with him.

Lola was only 14 in season 4 (when they started dating), and Vince Blake was supposed to be 21 (!!) years old in the fourth season. This is just outright creepy and we really cannot let this slide.

It really is time we have a thorough discussion on here about Nick shows and creepy age differences, because this is a pattern that spans across many Nick shows for some reason. If you guys ever watched iCarly, there was an episode where Carly dated a bad boy. Carly was also only 14 in that episode while that bad boy was 25.

Why is it that in Nick shows, there is this creepy "trope " (if you can even call it that) where a minor (usually a girl) dates an of-age person (usually a guy)? Why can‘t they make the characters date someone their same age? Why must they always put their illegal and sick fantasies in shows, kids shows at that??
