I always thought it was weird that there's a pool right next to a 6 mile wide river that flows into the ocean.

Currently have the plastic 35-70mm f/3.5*5.6. The shortest of all the variable 35-70s.
I hate to say it, but I can't see myself using the fixed lenses too much. I already have a 50 and a 28, and I think that's enough.
I like my 35-70, but from what I understand the quality is pretty weak for my version. I'm taking my honeymoon trip to turkey and Egypt with my wife this August and I want something good for these memories. At the same time I'm not going to notice every little defect in my pictures.
I've been looking on eBay but they're difficult to find.
For the ONE available on eBay I can get a 35-70 f4 and a 35-105.
So what do you think? I really appreciate all imput.
Hi all, I just wanted to share my latest purchase, a Zuiko 55 mm f/1.2 silver nose lens i found at an amazing price, it just received CLA (had some dust inside and a slow diaphragm due to grease decay) and is in wonderful condition, I just need to UV treat the yellowing before starting to use it. A nice addition to my OM-1n i bought a while ago with a Zuiko 50 mm f/1.8 MIJ variant. In the future I'm planning to pair it with a Zuiko 24 mm f/2 eventually.
Embraced the grain and grabbed a few shots in the sunny Texas Hill Country.

Update: Part of a filter or reversing ring stuck in the threads. Managed to persuade it out with one of those silicon grips for opening jars 😂
Hello,
So I'm new to film photography in general. I've been experimenting with an Olympus OM-20 with a Zuiko 50mm f1.8 lens. Been loving it so far.
I've recently picked up another one as a gift and have been getting it set up with various accessories before gifting but I'm confused by the filter threads.
So the first image is my lens where the threads are on the inside of the ring. As expected, a 49mm diameter filter and lens cap fits into the lens.
The second image is the "newer" lens. This lens has threads on the outside of the ring? The same 49mm filter can only be attached backwards, and the 49mm lens cap will not fit on the lens.
I'm not sure if this was a design change in later versions of the lens or if there is something wrong with my lens?
Is there an adapter I can get to convert it from an external to an internal thread?
I just received an Olympus F280 flash that when switched on made increasingly louder clicking noises (expanding components?) and quickly heated up the four AA cells. No flash. The eBay seller refunded and told me not to bother returning the flash.
Do F280 flashes have a reputation for these symptoms? Are they repairable, and who's doing repairs?
