I made beer cheese soup for dinner tonight.....

I used a half pound of extra sharp cheddar and a quarter pound of truffle cheddar. I used a bottle of Vanilla Porter.

Edit..... this is the recipe I use as a baseline. You can play around with different cheese and beer combos. I prefer a stronger stout or ale. The carrots and pepper don't have to be measured precisely. I use only 1 cup of half and half and only half a stick of butter to save a few calories.

Today I leaned that these were actually real cars.....

I've been playing with the LMP1/2 2005 cars lately and had never heard of the manufacturers Courage or Lola. I assumed they were names that Reiza made up due to licensing issues. I decided to look them up and sure enough these cars were actual Le Mans Prototypes that raced in the LMP2 class. Anyway, these cars are a blast and are worth checking out.

Tacos in Guadalajara...

I'm in Guadalajara on business for a couple nights and I've eaten a lot of tacos.

Edit... just to add, all of the tacos except one were some cut of beef.... either cabeza, suadero, carnaza, cachete.... all of which tasted similar. In the second picture bottom left is one sesos (brain) taco which I had to try and enjoyed.

As far as loose leaf goes, I mainly drink black teas. I usually order from Adagio or buy from my local tea shop, but I figured I'd try something different. I came across TeaSource when I was searching for Earl Gray recommendations on here. Looking forward to trying some new teas.
