What is your response/ first impression of this tattoo? I never get comments on it

I’ve had this Burmese python ouroboros tattoo for about 10 years now and I’m curious what people honestly think of it.

It’s a freehand piece that wraps from my ankle to my knee, basically a calf sleeve. Took around 7-8 hours

One thing I’ve always found strange is that almost nobody comments on it. Maybe 10 people total over the last decade have ever brought it up, even when it was fresh (excluding kids, they actually like it and will come up and ask about it).

The tattoo itself has a lot of meaning to me. I got it after I was a victim of a home invasion where I was pistol whipped, had my skull fractured and lost some of my teeth, as well as one of the invaders was shot. I am not a violent person, I am very friendly and work in high end hospitality. After that I dealt with PTSD and multiple years of oral surgeries, bone grafts, skin grafts, etc. The Ouroboros symbolism of destruction, rebuilding, cycles, survival ect really carried me through that period of my life.

I also grew up in Southeast Asia, so Burmese pythons were part of my childhood memories. I used to see them pretty often and dream about them a lot when I was younger.

Curious what people think of it, and if I should get it touched up. I was also thinking of adding some flowers/ plants as a background to fill in the leg.

Feeling Defeated

After being GF for a few months and having amazing days where I can think clearly and have no body inflation, I have realized I am also super allergic to soy, possibly worse than the gluten.

I am also lactose intolerant. After dialing in my diet, I found things like Guar Gum, things found in many gf products, I am also allergic to. I am still on an isolation diet and isolating more allergies. So even gf focused restaurants and bakery I can’t even eat at. I think I am pretty much stuck to eating only what I cook, or whole foods.

I got to meet with a nutritionist at my hospital who specializes in celiac diets!

She gave me a bunch of resources that I want to share with y'all.

If you guys want to add resources you use into the comments that would be super helpful 🎉

https://www.findmeglutenfree.com/

App the helps you find restaurants near you that are GF friendly.

This app had been a total game changer for me, and I have only used it for a week!
I found my first gluten free brewery in NH, and tons of new spots around Boston that I had totally overlooked. It's user / community driven so you can see experiences people with celiac have had.

GF & allergen free chocolate!!! I can’t have soy so these products are great for me and my return to baking brownies.

https://mygerbs.com/

This site is all allergen free products. This is a good source for grains, nuts, dried fruits, granola.

GF natural snacks / nuts and dried fruit. Trail Mix that won’t kill me. I did not realize how much I need to watch out for these kinda of foods in the stores.

This is the celiac program at my hospital, they have a bunch of research, new letters, and educational materials.
