i’m reading kiss the villain for the first time and i feel like gareth is text-book BPD (even if it was accidental) he has fear of being abandoned by his father and kayden, splitting/impulsive behavior, kayden feels like is his favorite person his entire existence depends on him and he is this close to spiraling if he doesn’t reply to him, he is constantly in fear of being replaced, and so on….
nobody talks about how gareth seems to be the only one to accept and be close to maya. (nikolai said many times he ADORES mia over maya) i find that so cute! the left one 🥹
i feel so much for gareth in that specific page when he talks about being abandoned by his father because he tries to fix things with killian and he talks about killian being HIS father’s real golden boy and kill being his unapologetic self meanwhile gareth who has been suffocating trying to please everyone is pushed aside and left to feel like just deception like i know so many people here have empathy for killian but my heart breaks so much for gareth:( he tried to fulfill the role of the perfect son and he still doesn’t feel enough, he wants his dad’s validation so much? i feel like there must be more to it right?
it’s so funny because i was rereading beautiful venom and its just me annoting every single thing preston does with “oh this is so lan core”
I’m dying to read a story that focuses heavily on a sibling relationship. I want a brother who acts like Joey Lynch ( protective, self-sacrificing, intuitive, parental figure) but the sister shouldn't be like Shannon in the book. I want her to be more like Lizzie Lynch/Lana Myers. Someone strong, sharp, and maybe a bit chaotic/unhinged.
I want them to have an incredibly tight, unbreakable bond where they both save and support each other. Is that too much to ask?
Ideally, they are either:
Does anyone have recommendations that fit this vibe? I don’t even mind if it’s too not much focused on fantasy, i would take anything at this point 😭
i know there’s a recurring joke about the male POVs being the only time people ”care about a man’s opinion” but i genuinely find them so boring. especially in dark romance?? the brooding dark man inner monologue is always so cringe and im actually skipping pages bc i need to go back to the female pov as soon as possible
does anyone else feel this way? or am i alone on this ?
