I'm really happy with the look of these for the most part, and I think that I am very close to my final version.
Some things I noticed:
- The back is off-center
- the backgrounds look a bit off, I'll tweak them
- The text is a bit too small/blurry
These are the completed cards so far! I have more dinosaur art done, but the backgrounds remain a barrier. Once the Hell Creek background is done, I'll have some more cards!
Things changed
- Un-capitalized body text
- Slightly brightened the outlines of the template
All card types are shown in their new templates!
I think I'm getting very close to my final design, but feedback is still very much appreciated!
What should change within this template?
Changed:
- Added sedimentary rock layers
- Moved card specs from the top to the bottom and added icons
- Removed Ammonite stat markers and dispersed them throughout the card
- Overhauled font
- Replaced hanging text box with a template-integrated textbox
- Replaced stretching textboxes with a 5-part expanding system
I'm happy with my Hunter and Symbiotic templates, but this one seems wrong.
I think it has to do with the 2 ammonite markers on the left, but I'm unsure.
I added the Symbiotic and Hunters at the end for comparison. Any and all critique is encouraged. What percent to the final version do you think I'd be?

To do:
- Add sedimentary texture to the template
- Dislodge the ammonite Action Cost from the template and move it down toward the attack
First is new; second is old.
I changed the template because I realized that the rocky template, while interesting and well-themed, was drab. I made it less expansive, giving more room for the background. How do you like it? Any advise going forward?

The first image is my new card and the second is the old one. I'm pretty happy with how the new template turned out, but I would like some feedback from the community in terms of what you would rate it 1-10 both in general and in comparison to the old one. I am aware of several issues that I need to fix, such as trimming the texture to avoid the fossils, changing the font for the ability description, and adding a background. Any feedback is appreciated!
I won't be able to post here for the next week, but expect cards to resume after that.

Gorgosaurus with the new and improved template!
How's the new template? I added texture and shadows and I think it looks much better than the old one. Is the textured red background good enough or should I add more to it? Critiques are welcome!

My first Symbiotic card!
I'm pretty happy with the template, the only thing left to add are plant silhouettes in the background!

Added red flair to the Megalosaurus skull in the top left (helps differentiate from other card types)
Added Basic Info to the fact file (location, time period, length, weight)
Enlarged fact file text
Darkened attack and ability text boxes
Concerns:
Are the text boxes too dark?
Is the background too empty (I was thinking about adding a forest silhouette)?
