Stuck in a installation push-back loop

I've been trying to get Ziply installed for a month now in my new house in Portland, OR. I called 3 weeks before move-in to confirm that I had access to service, and was assured that Ziply records showed my house already had fiber running to it. That seemed logical since the house was built in 2018 and fiber was in the area already at that time.

Three weeks later, 1 day after closing, the tech comes to install the fiber. Only he can't find any fiber actually going to the house. After 30 minutes of investigating, he determined that fiber is not currently going to the house, just to all my neighbors. He says I will need to have a team come out to lay the drop cable and then he can come back out and finish the install.

A contractor who does the drop cable installation came out 3 times over the next week, trying multiple things to get a connection out of the fiber box on the street to my house. None of them worked so they said they needed to get a drill bore to run it, and will need utility companies to mark anything that's buried on my property between the box and my house. A couple days later the utility guys showed up and painted all the lines for water, gas, cables, etc. That was 2 weeks ago and since then I keep getting notified of installation dates coming and going, and getting pushed back without explanation.

Today it went so far as the contractors texted me to let me know they're on their way and will be at my place soon to start. 10 minutes later they apologize and say they had the job pulled from them - no explanation was given to them. Ziply reaches out to tell me that the installation is pushed back 2 more weeks since the drop cable wasn't installed. No one can tell me who canceled my drop cable install or why. By the time someone gets out here, I bet the utility line marking will be gone and it will get canceled again.

Has anyone successfully been able to escalate to get answers in a similar situation? Ziply customer support says they can't see anything on the contractor side. The contractor company number they gave me goes through a Ziply welcome message then "the call could not be completed due to a technical error". Dead end, no way to get answers.

Does anyone have a galaxy S26 with working visual voicemail?

I purchased a new unlocked S26 U from Amazon and have tried every trouble shooting method seen online, and walked through every step again with online support. It got escalated to their advanced tech team who were only able to say that visible does not support visual voicemail on my phone.

Seems odd that visible wouldn't support a new phone when it worked on my old S20, and also works on friend's S25 Ultra. So does anyone else have an S26 with visual voicemail that works?

For reference here is the issue:

Whenever I open the default voicemail app, it prompts me to setup visual voicemail. One of two things will happen:

  1. Very long setup time that eventually leads into a "something went wrong" error
  2. It loads briefly, and brings up the visual voicemail screen that indicates I have no voicemails, even though I know that I do have voicemails. The only button is to dial into voicemail old school style which will then tell me I have many voicemails.

Important note: Once the voicemail app is closed and reopened, it will always prompt me to setup visual voicemail, even if it pretended that it was successful last time. Even if I did not clear cache/app data, it always thinks that visual voicemail needs to be setup for the first time when opening. It feels like something is not sticking, but I can't reinstall the app since it's a default app that doesn't exist in any app store and cannot be uninstalled.

Trouble shooting:

  1. Cleared out some old voicemails and left myself new ones with partners phone to hopefully force it to update that I have pending voicemails
  2. Force stopped voicemail app, cleared cache, cleared data, restarted phone. Did every possible combination of these steps multiple times - no change.
  3. Changed app data preference between wifi, data, and wifi or data. Tried disabling wifi to force it to only try and use mobile data during the setup process. Cleared data via step 2 between these changes as well.
  4. Visible tech support did some backend things to try to enable visual voicemail. Many cycles of airplane mode and restarting to try and get visual voicemail to see my voicemails.
  5. Waited a couple weeks between attempts at above steps, still no magical "it just started working" fix.

Best they could do was dial voicemail old school method which is honestly insane and it doesn't help me if it won't ever tell me I have pending or new voicemails.
