You're living in Thief,in the City, as a part of the whole lore. Do you see yourself as a Keeper, a Hammerite, a Mechanist, a Pagan, etc?
Personally I see myself as a Hammerite version of Benny the Guard.

Playing as Minamoto, so far it's ok. But it's a little weird. Is the whole point to really just get provinces to switch allegiances? I'm just so used to military domination through force. But the stronger I get, it seems like the other clans get sour and it doesn't work out in my favor. Maybe the aim here is to have more civic development?
There's a lot of comparison, for example, equating the YHWH of Judaism with the Demiurge. There's a few good points to that. But from where I'm standing, the "Allah" of Islam seems to be very similair, if not, fall more in line with a concept of tyrannical Demiurge. Ntm, historical timelines of spreading religion through violence & coercion. In today's political environment, a lot gnostics are hardline anti-Israel as well and use rabbinical Judaism as a vehicle to criticize. They won't do it to the guys on the other side of the fence who aren't really all that different in ideology. Has anyone else noticed that? Or care to explain a reason why, perhaps?
Is that like, a computer thing or something?
Shouldn't they be more focused on learning to think logically & become more reasonably discerning?
Pretty straightforward question. I notice it's usually only one side that gets public criticism, though.
I had a neighbor I was really cool with get super excited when she asked me, "Are you celebrating the holiday next Friday!?" I asked sincerely, "What holiday?" She suddenly changes her tone and says, "Uhhhh...Juneteenth?" I told her that I am not, but I don't have any problem with other people who celebrate it. She kind of gave me this weird look like I was crazy, and then walked away.
I didn't mean to be offensive or anything but the thing is 1.) I don't really follow politics, so I didn't know that was officially a thing now & 2.) I'm not black (neither is she ftr). So I'm not really sure if that's like, a standard people follow these days or something.
I was even already mentally checked out until I heard someone say, "My Lord! A glorious victory will soon be yours."
Because yeah, we jave the Divine Spark. But we're all also full of arrogance & ignorance, just as Papi Lion Headed Serpent. Perhaps in order to attain true "Liberation"(?), we have to help the Demiurge get back to the Monad instead of feeling resentment?
I'm probably beating a dead horse, but I've noticed it's even a lot more institutionalized now nore than ever than let's say 10 yrs ago when I first heard about the concept. Retainers are even being put into categories along with bigots & Q-Anoners. Any takes?
