Brothers and sisters, please join me in mourning the loss of our homie, Violent Joseph 🥀🕊️

I got this fucking dope Juggalo King of the Hill shirt last year. I was wearing it while I was outside walking my cat Scrambles (cat tax included) on his leash and he got scared of the neighbor’s mower and tore me and Joseph up. Scrambles is fine, I’m healing, Joseph didn’t make it. 😭 I ended up ordering a replacement shirt.

Please join me in saying a short prayer as I lay Violent Joseph to rest. I’ve chosen an excerpt from Behind the Paint.

“Back then, that day burying that Butterfly, feeling the way we did, my brother and I were like two clean cloths. Unpolluted yet by life. Pure and true. When we made that vow, we were the real untouched, Joe and Rob Bruce. It was from the heart.

As we go through life, we adapt to what really goes on in this world and what it teaches us. Other people in life teach you things like., “Hey, man, don’t hang out with girls unless you’re trying to fuck them, dude!” or “What are you hangin’ out with those black kids for?”

The more you come in contact with other people, the dirtier you get. When you’re a child you go only by your heart, because that’s all you know.

As I write this, I’m fucked up. I’m very, very dirty from the world. One day I have to return to that innocent, pure thing I once was, so that when I die, I can apologize to the Butterfly. That’s what “Dedicated to the Butterfly” means that that’s exactly what I intend to do.”

My first lily and my first rose that I grew all by myself in my own garden at my new home! 🥳

I am just extremely excited and I wanted to share my beauties with people who would understand. I still can’t believe that they actually grew, bloomed, and they look this beautiful and perfect!!

Scrambles’s rip-roaring 4x4 off-roading adventure

Going out for a walk is his favorite thing to do right now. As soon as he sees me get his harness, he starts purring and rubbing up against my legs. The last picture is him yelling at me to please take him outside.

Found this fella in my garden bed today. Is it mold? What type of mold is it? Should I be worried about it at all or just let it do its thing?

Up close picture and zoomed out picture of it next to my juniper. Thanks for any info!

Update: 27 days ago, I came to this sub asking “what is this plant?” Everyone said it was a healthy peony and some asked for an update when it finally blooms. GENTLEMAN! BEHOLD!

I am so fricking giddy! I could not believe my eyes today when one of the blooms opened up to reveal that it’s not just a white peony, these are FESTIVA MAXIMA and I love them so much! Guuyyyyssss! My first peony blooms! 😭 I’m so excited! These are going to be a cherished part of my garden.

Thanks everyone for all of the help! You guys were incredible with all of the info you offered.

I am in northeast Ohio and I saw this fella in my yard today. Did I just see a real life shiny?

Apologies for the poor resolution. My camera is a potato and I didn’t want to get any closer and scare him away, so you get pictures taken through my deck fencing.
