Future reboots need to study season 8 of the X-Files
Not just talking about the upcoming x-files one but reboots and revivals in general, THIS is how you do it
Season 8 is basically a soft reboot. You remove some characters and plotlines while introducing new ones without shoving them down out throats and slowly winning our trust
The character of Doggett works because he is not Mulder and he doesn't try to be Mulder, he has his own personality and is slowly introduced as a support character to a legacy character(Scully)
You hate him at first but he slowly wins you over proving himself a valuable ally to characters we already knew and once Mulder comes back and is immediately hostile do Dogget we as an audience are all like "cmon Mulder just chill, he is a friend"
I feel like nowadays when franchises get a reboot with new characters they fail to win over the audiences because they are trying to copy traits of an older, better character that is no longer around
I never realized how much season 8 feels like a new show because the transition is done so well
Josh Holloway deserved SO much more!
During the recent Orlando Megacon him and Dominic Monaghan were discussing their careers post Lost and Josh mentioned almost being cast as Gambit until he was told that he was already too old for the role and they were looking for someone "like him, but 15 years younger"
Now Josh told that story in a funny way but you could tell that he is still sour over that
Dominic went on to say that they both did other shows after Lost and it just never really landed with the audiences or had the same cultural impact that Lost did
After rewatching the show a few months ago i was surprised by Josh's acting range and how he goes from comedy to drama in a split second which is a really hard thing to do
Overall his character arc is probably the most interesting of the entire show and unlike some other characters the writing for Sawyer was always spot on and i hope he lands a big role in the near future
Where's Imhotep?
Mummy 4 is bringing back the OG cast which is great but so far no announcement regarding the titular character :(
IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP! IMHOTEP!
What if Trump demanded to see YOU in his office right now?

reddit.comCaught me off guard too. Directed by Eduardo Sanchez who previously directed the Blair witch project, this was a fun fast paced found footage movie
The witch never showed up for her movie but bigfoot is really the main star in this one as you see him several times and the costume and the practical effects look pretty damn good
It has several obnoxious characters but Bigfoot being the star that he is takes notes and names so that he can take them mfs out first
Worth your time, check it out if you like found footage
We had werewolves, lake monsters, lizard monsters, giant bats and even were monsters but the most classic cryptid of all time never had his own episode
#justiceforbigfoot
This character creeped me out more than any other far cry villain
We kicked him out of Australia and this creep ended on Rook Island working for a major druglord and human trafficker...go figure
Jee susss i was not prepared for how dark this was going to be
I love how it mixes real life horror with a child predator roaming around and a ghost seeking justice from beyond the grave
I also love how Doggett is entirely focuses on catching the creep abducting these boys while completely ignoring the paranormal aspects of the case as i feel like Mulder would have taken a very different approach
