if you could live on the island
what era would you choose and why?

Maybe it's cause people don’t like the temple plot, maybe for other reasons. But this is one of the most overlooked dynamic storylines. let me recap off the top of my head, obviously spoilers.
Jack did not hesitate to swallow the pill that was prepared for Sayid. He suspected that it contained poison. He knew he would rather risk himself than let Sayid die.
As a response, Sayid showed full trust in Jack. Said -I’ll take this pill if you ask me to-. He put his life in his friend's hands.
Before that, Jack tried so hard to save Sayid, and before that he fought alongside him, stood by him and consoled Sayid in s5 and said "this will help/save you"(for the plan). he was wrong but the intentions matter.
Jack also never judged Sayid for shooting Ben in a resentful way. He had empathy for what Sayid has been through.
As a massive response to all these, Sayid sacrificed his life so that Jack can do what he has to do. No words needed here…
I just think this relationship, which had a great setup in season 1-2 but a bit fumbled in other seasons, really shined in season 6. It went so underappreciated. Well, at least back in the day. People used to pit them against each other too. They still do.…I never understood that. If I watched the same show, they were mostly respectful and helpful for each other.
Just finished another rewatch of lost, and decided to make myself a dharma rug to go in my living room, just gotta glue it and then clean it up, this is the back of it, ill post the front once its off the frame 😊
I'm on my rewatch and just started season 3, and any time a character is imprisoned/captured and refuses to eat or drink until they "get some answers" or whatever, it drives me mad because it's so pointless and stupid and seems to happen every single time. Though it was pretty funny to see Jack refusing Juliet's home-cooked grilled cheese sandwiches while Sawyer is forced to solve a rube goldberg machine for fish biscuits and bear kibble lol...
I’m basically gonna do a few what if Scenarios and you tell me which one you would have liked the best to have actually happened?
1.What if Claire was a part of the Oceanic Six
2.What if Ana Lucia never killed Shannon
3.What if Locke never died and the Smoke Monster stayed on Christian’s form?
4.What if the writers strike never happened and we got a longer version of Season 4?
5.What if the Island never got stuck on the 1970’s?
6.What if Walt went back to the island with the Oceanic Six?
7.What if Michael had survived the boat explosion along with Jin?
8.What if Ben gave himself up to save Alex?
It was just 2 years ago and i watched it the same way it came out. One episode, every friday. Wish I could go back to the first time seeing all of those scenes and moments. Wish I could forget the show and rewatch it from 0 not knowing what's happening.
If you're on your first watch, enjoy it
I want to rewatch Lost, I watched it the first time like 10 years ago, so I still kind of remember the plot. What seasons or characters do you think I should focus on?🤔
Does anyone speak Korean and know the ghost story Jin is telling? It’s a very small thing but I used to love going on the ER subreddit to find out what the nurses were saying in Spanish. I love the girl voice he does at the beginning 😭
I'm reading the First Time Watcher threads from time to time as I am also watching the show for the first time (mid season 6 right now), and I can't help but notice all the hatred directed at Kate. EVERY FREAKING EPISODE there will be at least one person to find a reason to hate on her, even if she appears like 10 seconds in the episode.
Why is so ? I can't find any good reason. She has always been a really good friend for Claire, Sun, Sayid or other people at the camp. She has always been loyal, helpful and incredibly determined.
So please can anybody help me understand the hate, or I will just assume that this is pure sexism and hatred stemming from the fact that Kate can't decide between Jack and Sawyer (oh wow, an human being can love TWO PEOPLE at the same time ??)
Love this character so much! Dominic's acting! Everything!
In S1E3 Kate as "Annie" is being driven by Ray as she goes to leave the farm. They get pursued by The Marshal. Ray tells "Annie" he turned her in for $23,000 (kinda paltry sum but Ray loyalty is cheap).
My question is:
If Ray turned her in for the reward why is he even fleeing The Marshal?
He turned her in, why not slow down and stop? Instead he floors it as we have the Marshal racing up to glare. Then Kate grabs the wheel and causes a near fatal crash. The whole time he could have hit the brakes and took his foot off the gas.
This never made sense to me.
Seeing all the posts on here all the time, I’ve started to miss the characters. 3 of the 4 times I’ve watched it is because someone close to me had never seen it, I’m like no no no, you’re watching it now. Lol. I’m gonna watch it on my own this time.
Something kinda fun, my son’s name is Lochlan, I knew we’d call him Loch too. His second middle name is John, which I wanted for a number of reasons. A bonus reason was for John Locke, even if in a different order. Idk it just makes me happy. 🥰
(Edit for a typo)
Well I’m at S02E22 and am so proud of Charlie his character is one I relate to as a recovering addict of 16 yrs that island threw the heroin at him literally every turn then Vincent brings him one 😭 loved his reaction of “Are you serious?!” 🤣🤣🤣
Anyway thats it just happy for Charlie 😅
I've seen it be discussed before how time doesn't seem to work the same in season 3 as it does in later season (Whatever happened, happened rules). Usually this is put down to the fact that the writers still hadn't figured out time travel, and later on the Desmond is special and that the rules don't apply to him.
I'm not sure if this has been considered before, but is it possible that Charlie wasn't never actually "meant" to die? Charlies is able to accomplish what he does in the looking glass because he has accepted his impending death and has no fear. What if the Island/Jacob was sending Desmond these visions in order to "wear down" Charlie? To prepare him for what's coming?
We don't actually know if Desmond is accomplishing anything. We don't see Charlie actually die until he dies.
Does anyone have theories about the show, characters, the Island, or other elements that, despite being disproven, you still find valid?
I’m a little confused about the whole situation with Claire’s parents, in season 1 when it flashes back to her and Thomas she says “my mom would disown me” and Thomas says “she basically has already” is this just a rude way of him saying your mom is dead 😭😭 also when Christians in Australia before he dies he goes to the doorstep of a woman and says “she’s my daughter I have a right to see her” i guess this is supposed to be Claire’s mother but if Claire’s mother is brain dead in a hospital how does that make sense, unless it’s Claire’s… aunt? But i didn’t think it was the same actress. Can someone clear this up because I am throughly confused.
