Switch 2 completely unresponsive and warm while docked in sleep mode, requires 20 to 30 min cool down to turn on. Any fixes?

Brief description of the issue:

Issue happened twice in a 1 month period my Nintendo Switch 2 will not turn on. So the console will be on the dock when we go to try to turn it on. The screen is black or will not come on the TV or when we pull it out of the dock in handheld mode. The switch feels warm to the touch and we have to leave it off the dock for 20 to 30 minutes and then it will come back on. Also, this will occur, even if we haven’t played the console for a few days and we go to try to turn it on. It’s in a well ventilated area and nothing is blocking the vents on the console.

Console was purchased in March 2026.

Just beat Super Mario Wonder!

Just rolled credits and what a fantastic game! Each wonder power changes the game so much. The color, graphics and music are sublime. Also some last stages had some real challenge! Especially for me with zero rhythm 😂

P.S. Princess Peach was my main! 🍑🐘

Not sure if it will make it on the upcoming Nintendo switch Direct but I hope in the very near future we see a ton of Double Fine games making its way to Nintendo Switch consoles!
