These two are the only superheroes who have been shown to beat Superman more than once. Wonder Woman, Batman, and Superman have their fair share of fights throughout DC’s continuity whenever it’s Golden Age, Pre Crisis, Post Crisis, New 52, or Rebirth. My thing is they rarely ever showcase that with other superheroes. They rarely ever portray other heroes on par with Superman when the narrative says otherwise.

Shazam is basically a mystical Superman who has the same kind of blessed divinity as Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter has most of Superman’s powers while also having his own like telepathy, telekinesis, density control, and shape shifting. Flash has the Speed Force, and he’s pretty much the speed to Superman’s strength. Doctor Fate has the power of a mystical god, Zatanna is one of the most busted sorcerers in DC, Green Lantern at full power is busted with the ring which can allow him to do almost anything. Captain Atom is basically a weaker version of Doctor Manhattan but he’s still powerful since he can manipulate Quantum energy, Supergirl is basically Superman who doesn’t worry about holding back, Orion is Darkseid’s son who is powerful enough to kill Darkseid, and there’s also Aquaman who’s been stated in DC to be relative to Wonder Woman in stats and skills who also has access to the Blue.

All of these superheroes are super powerful and even have statements in DC stating that they’re relative to Superman, so why doesn’t DC push these guys to be on Superman‘s level like they do with Batman and Wonder Woman constantly?

Star Sapphire/Starfox, both have "love" powers that are kind of problematic... makes sense to me! LOL
