Does Switch 1 physical data on cartridge transfer over to Switch 2 edition physical cartridge?

Hi all,

So, I lost my Switch 1 copies of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom while traveling😭, but I still have the save files on my NSO cloud and on my Switch 1 as save data. I really prefer physical copies, so I was wondering if anyone knows whether buying the Switch 2 Edition of these Zelda games would allow my save file and DLC to transfer over, or if having originally owned the game as a physical cartridge means that wouldn’t work. I can't find anything on this specific issue on Nintendo's website.

Thank you so much!

Switch 2 Not Charging Please Help

Hi can someone please help me with my switch 2. It’s not charging. I tried every charger and it won’t charge and tried different outlets. The original charger won’t work and neither does the tv charger. Not even the dead battery icon appears when I hit the power button. I tried the hard reset, holding the power button for 20 seconds. The joy cons when removed turn on at least but the screen won’t respond. I didn’t let it fall on the floor or damaged it in anyway. I haven’t played with it since 2 weeks and I usually don’t let my switch die completely but this time I let it die completely since I’ve been busy and haven’t had time to play. The charging ports don’t have any visible damage or dust on them. I’m not sure how to fix it. I bought it last October there’s no way it could break already.

Thinking about picking up a Switch

I’ve been wanting a Switch for a while but there are so many options now that I’m not sure where it makes sense to buy one. Checked the usual stores plus eBay and refurbished ones. Used prices seem all over the place and some bundles barely cost less than buying new. For anyone who bought one recently where did you get yours? And would you go new or used if you were buying one today?

is it worth it to own a switch lite in 2026?

hello, i am a big fire emblem fan but unfortunately very very broke. Since fortune weave is going to be a switch 2 exclusive release, going forward is it even worth it to own a lite- given that it won’t be able to support the newer games? or will there still be releases that can be played on both 🥲?

i’m about to exhaust my replay-ability on the switch lite, if no particularly interesting titles are going to release for in the future i might as well sell it

sorry if it sounds stupid i am not very updated on the consoles 🥲

Switch 2 right speaker making clicking/buzzing noise after system update, any ideas?

Hey, my Nintendo Switch 2’s right speaker has started making a repetitive clicking/buzzing noise whenever the built-in speakers are active. It even happens with the system volume turned all the way down to 0.

The issue started right after the system software updated during the initial first setup.

A few details:

  • The noise stops immediately if I plug in headphones.
  • It also stops when the console is asleep/docked.
  • The speaker seemed completely fine when I first turned the console on.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? Would really appreciate any troubleshooting ideas or repair suggestions.

Is it worth buying a switch 2 now, or is a new version (outside of the Zelda 40th) expected to be released anytime soon?

I've wanted one for so long, however I held off and now with OOT coming out I would like to finally buy one.

I received two “Service Request Status: Cancelled” emails despite not making those service requests. Is this a scam, glitch, or something the worry about?

I received two emails from the official Nintendo repair email, noreply_repair@noa.nintendo.com, about service requests being cancelled, but when I search the request number, nothing comes up. I sent in my joycons for repair a few months ago, but the repair went fine without any problems, and I haven’t made any more requests since. My account also isn’t compromised, as I have 2FA and the login history doesn’t have any devices that aren’t mine. Could this just be a glitch on nintendos end, or is my account somehow compromised in a way I don’t know about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should I buy a Nintendo 3DS or a Switch Lite ?

I’m thinking about getting a handheld and can’t decide between a Nintendo 3DS and a Switch Lite. Which one would you recommend, and why?

NES Game recommendations that aren't found on Nintendo Switch Online

Pretty much what it says in the title. I just bought an NES console today and was looking to start building up a library of games to play. I also have a Switch 2 with Nintendo Switch Online, and would like to invest in lesser known gems that haven't been put into the Switch Online library. Thank you!

„Wrong NAT“ for playing Smash Ultimate on the switch. Any advice?

I dont have a wifi router anymore, only mobile hotspot. Whats the cheapest replacement for my Nintento switch to accept my internet and what would be a genuine good recommendation or investment? No use if my internet becomes crappy.

Anyway the make this wii sports resort disc playable

Pretty scratched up disc but it didn’t seem unplayable, my Wii won’t recognize it though. Is it dead?

u/Happy-Ordinary6733 — 2 days ago

Got a used Wii game and the disc isn’t reading.

Got a used game, and the disc isn’t reading. I was going through the trouble shooting and it was saying maybe the system needed to be updated. No idea if updating even works anymore at this point with the Nintendo WFC not being a thing anymore. The disc looks fine, not really scratched.

Edit: The original Wii, got in in 2007

Nintendo Store's website shows that I need to pay for shipping when I shouldn't?

Nintendo recently changed their shipping policies and now you no longer need to reach a certain amount of money to get free shipping but instead have an online subscription, but even though I do have one, the payment screen shows me that shipping is 5'99€.

I made sure to check my Nintendo Account just in case I somehow didn't register my Switch under it, but everything is fine and I saw a big button that confirmed I currently had an on-going subscription, so it's not like that doesn't show on the Nintendo Store.

I made sure to check the FAQ and nothing's wrong: my order is of course over 1€ (the minimum to have free shipping) and it doesn't seem to only apply to certain regions.

I'm not sure if this is just a generic screen so I thought I'd ask about it here since I wouldn't want to be charged for this unfairly.

Can I upgrade from child to adult account while keeping the current attached email?

Years ago, I changed the email of my Nintendo account from my parent's to mine. I didn't realize there was an option just upgrade it from child to adult. I have the option the mature the account. Can I upgrade it and use/carry over the supervisor email? Or would I need to change the supervisor back to my parent's and then enter my email for the upgrade?

And would I lose any of the games I purchased? If there's barely any difference, I don't mind leaving it as is.

I'm new to Nintendo, what games should i play?

I'm a new Nintendo player. I've played mostly Soulslikes, RPGs (like Skyrim or Fallout), and competitive games all my life, but I wanted to give Nintendo a try.

I know Nintendo has a reputation for consistently high-quality games, but I don't really know where to start.

So far, I've played Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Breath of the Wild on my Switch 2.

If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
