Applause for whoever decided Baltar should hold the gun like this
So subtle but hilarious.

So subtle but hilarious.
I finished listening to the commentary tracks for the show but was curious if any existed for the webisodes, and if so, where? I see the Blurays list the Resistance Webisode but it doesn’t seem clear from the listing if it has its own commentary track. I’ve read Jane Espenson did a commentary track for Face of the Enemy, but that was only hosted as far as I can tell on SciFi’s website, so is is the commentary for that lost to time?
Any one know what this room is supposed to be on the front of Galactica’s “Alligator Head” Bow? It reminds me of the bridge from the old series.
(Edit) the first pic is from S1Ep9
How did the fleet in the original series travel between systems. They never mention it except in one episode they traveled at the speed of light which they never did before.
Colonel Tigh: "No, we are not gonna talk about the fragile body of Gaius frakkin' Baltar!"
I want to know what the frak was happening on this ship.
From what I understand they scrapped Pegasus' sets after the New Caprica arc due to budgetary reasons. But of course in Razor you see Michelle Forbes back in the Pegasus CIC with some minor differences to her look in season 2. I'm just wondering when film production began.
and it was so bad that I switched it off after 5 episodes. I'm now watching through BSG in its entirety as a palate cleanser.
Tl;Dr - don't waste time with Another Life. It's two dozen sci-fi tropes in a trenchcoat with atrocious writing and stilted dialogue.
I bought an entire set of DVD’s on eBay. It came with the mini series, all the seasons, Razor, Caprica, and the BSG movie that came out before the series.
And it came with this cool little collectors item. Had no idea I’d get this too but I love it!
The final 5?
I must have missed it. How did they get to Caprica without knowing who they were? How was Ellen resurrected? How did Cavil know about them?
Few TV moments hit as hard as Commander Adama standing before humanity’s survivors and declaring: “So say we all.” What many fans don’t realize is that the scene changed in the moment thanks to Edward James Olmos. What began as a simple scripted line became an emotional rallying cry that defined 'Battlestar Galactica' for all four seasons.
Featuring reflections from Ronald D. Moore, David Eick, Michael Hogan, Mary McDonnell and Olmos himself, this story explores how one unforgettable performance shaped the soul of the series. https://www.womansworld.com/entertainment/tv-shows/edward-james-olmos-defined-battlestar-galactica-with-so-say-we-all
I watched this during my first watch of BSG years ago. This past week I binged the entire series and ended with “The Plan”.
Obviously there was no major secrets revealed. Beyond that, the show was basically a reel show with clips from the series and a few background clips.
Overall, a solid B- for Battlestar Galactica. Nothing new. A few thoughts:
- It ends with two Cavils getting spaced. One of the had just knived a kid and said friendship was dangerous yet her took the other Cavil’s hand in friendship as he got spaced.
- I was wondering if Boomer sided with Cavil because he was still controlling her with the elephant.
- a bit retconned or poorly managed since it showed the final five with Cavil but then him wanting to put them with the humans for a lesson. Supposedly the five arrived during the first Cylon war and they stopped the war, but then later the five are in resurrection bathtubs? But Saul was around during the first Cylon War as a Colonial Officer. The timeline was a bit jumbled.
- If they’re going to make a movie about “The Plan” , I would rather they had followed the Final Five plot line more fully, then arriving and stopping the First Cylon War and then getting double crossed by Cavil/John rather than just a reel show. I realize ever serialized show as a reel episode because it’s a lot cheaper to produce (just reuse old footage) but still.
Madam President as The First Lady. Happy Independence Day Weekend!
When Boomer shot the Old Man or when Dee shot herself?
this is only my opinion so please don’t come for me ! I got so hooked with the show especially at the end of season 2 and beginning of season 3, I loved the way they went to New Caprica but once they got out of it I just feel like the show started dragging so bad
the romance and couples are always changing so it’s annoying me lowkey and some episodes def feel like filler episodes, like nothing happens until the last minutes. I’m still so excited to finish the season to see how it’s gonna go 🫠
does it end on a good cliffhanger ? since i’ll only have season 4 left to watch after.
I'm starting a BSG roleplay on the unofficial BSG Discord Server. The RP will be set with a different group of survivors in another fleet, guarded by another Battlestar and its support ships. But the same challenges, from the relentless advance of the Cylons, to humanity's own failings. But you get to be a part of it. Join today to help play out that experience.
