youtube.comDot or Pop better to hear people in another room?
Hi all, I'm getting an Echo for my mother and her apartment is not very large (maybe 1000 square feet). She does have an Irish accent though and might need to ask Alexa things from the other side of the place.
Is the Dot or the Pop better at hearing commands from another room? I'm just deciding which to buy here.
Microsoft flight simulator Trim recommendations?
EDIT: I have a workaround / tip.
Don't think of the Trim wheel like a dial that you need to grab and turn the same way you would turn a knob. Think of it instead like a trackpad on a laptop.
Put your finger on it in one place and then slide your finger up or down. It gives you a much better level of control. I did way better with Trim after changing to this style of play.

I'm on the training mission to learn Trim (got my PPL now working toward commercial airplane) and it's hard with the VR controllers. I can manage with the standard game pad but does anyone have tips on how to turn the Trim wheel using the VR controllers without the wheel going too far / fast? I'm constantly either climbing or going to a nose drive cuz the Trim wheel sensitivity is too touchy.
Someone help me out here please.
I have my PPL license and now my first mission is to fly Michelle Hensen around some sites on an easy flight.
I know how to load passengers via the EFB but when I get going the mission fails because I neglected to board the people for the mission (generic people are in my plane, i guess its not Michelke and the others from the mission).
I know how to bring up the communications menu, go to Ground Services and I should see request passenger boarding in there but I never do. The menu is empty and my only option is to go back to the higher list with things like announce taxi, etc.
I researched it and maybe it's because I'm on the wrong kind of departure spot but this is a mission where I can't modify that.
Help?
EDIT: figured it out, it's L1 if anyone's in my situation
Been really enjoying Flight Sim and even passed the license test! Awesome. But whereas I use the VR controllers for practically everything I can't find Brakes (square on the usual PS5 gamepad). Anyone know what button it is? Right now I drop the VR controllers and grab my gamepad just for breaking and I'd prefer not to have to.
Picked up Microsoft Flight Sim yesterday now that it's officially released for PSVR2 and I like it.
The Cessna Cockpit (only plane I've tried so far) looks pretty clear to me, if I lean in I can read everything clearly but sitting back it's maybe not as clear as Gran Turismo.
Maps load quick (I have 350 Mbps download internet speed) but occasionally things look a bit low resolution till things finish loading. If you played Star Wars Squadrons on PSVR1 think what a Star Destroyer looked like when you got close.
Given it's not procedural like No Man's Sky, I put the landscapes above NMS graphically but below Aces of Thunder (smaller focused maps in AoT so unfair comparison).
Speaking of Aces, I will say I am so glad Microsoft Flight Sm wins in the control department because I don't have the aft section wiggling back and forth if I make a turn. Aces has a big problem for me of wobbling every time I bank, I feel like I'm towing a tub of Jello. Flight Sim totally wins!
Can anyone recommend a good coin pusher game? I used to love Coin Pusher Vegas but they updated it to cap my maximum coins to 30 unless I pay now so I'm looking for a new title.
Just picked up DrumBeats VR and really enjoying it. Maybe everyone knows this already but I found it handy: if you find the drums are too close together, you can grab them with your hand and reposition them, same with the cymbals.
I kept banging the nearby skins and was getting annoyed until I went back to the Drum Setup screen and just grabbed things and put them where I liked them.
Now I play way better.
Hope it helps.
