Short-term housing in Trondheim without BankID, any advice?
Hi everyone,
I am an international master’s student planning a short research stay in Trondheim during the autumn semester 2026.
I am looking for accommodation from late August until around mid/late December. A furnished room in a shared apartment or a small studio would be fine.
I have already contacted some student housing providers, but short-term/semester contracts seem difficult to find. I also found some relevant listings on FINN.no, but I cannot contact landlords there because the platform requires BankID verification, which I do not have as I am not yet in Norway.
I am already checking Hybel.no, but I wanted to ask if anyone has advice on other reliable ways to find short-term housing in Trondheim, especially for international students/research interns.
Any advice would be appreciated! I am not looking to pay any deposit without a proper contract and a safe deposit arrangement.
