Hey everyone. I just started climbing a few weeks ago and I really want to start going consistently. I don’t have my own pair of shoes so I rent them. However, I can’t seem to get them to fit my left foot correctly. My right foot is usually fine with my regular shoe size or a size larger, but my left foot is usually super cramped and my big toe nail ends up getting bruised/beat up. I’m not 100% sure if it’s from climbing (I also play tennis), but my big toe nail on the left foot has a crack running across it now. Even if I go up like 2 sizes it ends up hurting by the end of my session. Has anyone else ran into this? How should I go about finding the right fit? I’m not sure if it’s a problem with my left foot being much larger than my right or maybe it’s just shaped differently?
