When I use the price-check tool, all my stuff is supposedly worth multiple Jahs, but that doesn’t reflect reality.

I’ve also seen people trying to break their Jah and having completely unreasonable expectations.

I’m writing this because Cruijff had said he wanted to become champions next year. At first that didn’t sit right with me, with the matches from last season still fresh in my memory, but if you go through every line of the team, it actually doesn’t look that bad.

Goalkeeper
With Paes you have a solid shot-stopper. Whether he’ll become the first-choice keeper is still uncertain. I’m curious to see what changes here.

Defence
With Baas, Itakura, Bouwman and Janse, you’re well covered centrally. We’re going to miss Sutalo’s aerial strength, but apart from that, not much.
Gaaei and Rosa are perfectly fine full-backs for the Eredivisie. We could still use another strong full-back alongside them.
What we’re really missing is a Jaap Stam-like specialist coach who teaches the boys to head away every cross.

Midfield
This is our most difficult line. With Gloukh, Steur and Mokio, you potentially have a very good midfield, but in practice the lower limit of their performances is still far too low. Their performance baseline really needs to improve. A good coach who can position the players properly can make a huge difference here, because poor positioning in midfield often starts a line earlier. If an opposing defender is allowed to dribble forward with the ball, then as a midfielder you can really only move backwards because you’re already marking someone.
I honestly don’t think Fitz-Jim and Regeer are good enough.
We keep hearing that we need a number 6, but this is the line where we actually need about three new signings.
I’m leaving Klaassen out of this discussion because I have a controversial opinion about him.

Wingers
With Godts, Berghuis, Bounida and Carrizo, you actually have enough wingers for next season.

The striker
There are rumours that Dolberg might also be sold, but if he is fit, he’s our best striker. In the absence of a second striker, I would actually argue for Klaassen. That’s where the controversial opinion comes in: I think Klaassen is too weak for midfield. He’s no longer the quickest and his range is simply too limited. What he can do, though, is finish with both his feet and his head. That’s why I would use him as a false 9 if there are no better alternatives.
