Im on the hunt for a PSA 8 charizard but I’m not very knowledgeable on condition, value, etc.
I have a max offer in mind to offer but I want to make sure I’m not ripping myself off. I’m very hesitant to spend 4 figures on a card but I really would love to have a good charizard.
Any opinions on a good price for this?

My daughter is getting into pokemon and it’s really giving me a lot of nostalgia and pulling me back into pokemon. I’m in the market for a base set PSA 8 charizard.
Obviously I’d prefer a perfect one but at an 8, I just really want a nice holo. I can live with whitening on the back.
I’ve read a lot of “if one side is a 7 the other side has to be a 9”
I’m new to this and no card shops around me would have this to see in person so I’ve been obsessively on eBay looking.
How do you guys pick cards on eBay? Whitening on the back is easy to spot but I find it almost impossible to measure how nice the holo is.
I was browsing sold listings and came across this sold today. 1 bid $1,400. I know there no way. What’s the deal here?
