So my social skills are really bad, and im not really sure what to do half the time when im out in person. But I made a friend who attends the same class in my lecture hall, and we've become pretty good friend's lately and talk often but he also has other friends of course and usually sitting with other friends who are sitting on either side of him.
Usually I arrive 5 minutes late to the lecture due to traffic, and when I do he's usually already sitting there. So when I enter do I like wave at him and what do I do if he's not looking my way? Do I go up and try to sit next or near to him or with his other friends? It feels really awkward when I dont because it feels like im ignoring him, and I feel like I should acknowledge my friend in some way.
Usually he's sitting in the front all the way across from the door so i'd have to walk all the way across the front to just say 'Hi' since he's so far, so I feel like I should wave or something.
