I want a decent looking short beard but my issue is always lining up since my beard is like a mine field with holes. I know I should grow it out a bit longer and trim between but when the hairs get longer it gets harder to find the holes/hairs to avoid when lining up the cheeks.

I thought maybe just go wild and let the cheeks completely grow naturally while removing stray hairs?

And every barber I went to fucked it up completely so they had to lower my cheek line below my mouth.

Also I don't want a longer beard since it ruins my naturally nice jawline.
