hi, i’m posting on behalf of the owner who’s unable to get reddit.
cat, female, 2 years old, not spayed, 9-10lbs (estimate), solid gray shorthair, connecticut, no history

she threw up a bunch this morning, puke was just food colored. she had diarrhea as well. she usually runs downstairs when she hears her owner wake up so she can be fed, but he couldn’t find her. he found her hiding behind the couch. now she’s laying on the couch not moving too much, her owner syringed water into her mouth to get her to drink. her breath is really stinky, fur feels greasy and not groomed. she just seems exhausted. owner is also worried that she might be getting skinnier, but didn’t think too much about it until now. she looks sick in general.
all of this happened this morning, but she may have been gradually getting skinnier over the past few weeks.

owner also found a chinese food bowl licked clean, but they also have a dog, so they don’t know if the cat ate it.

google search leads to kidney disease, but we all know how unreliable google is for health symptoms. does she need emergency care asap? i think yes but wanted to get more insight on it. thanks
