What legal options for minor physical altercation (slight physical injuries) by relative - Barangay case, no CCTV but picture evidence and document

My aunt (tita) had a physical incident with my girlfriend on June 29, 2026 at around 9:11 PM. The CCTV in the area was not working. I have documented the event and I am seeking advice on the proper legal steps, preferably starting at the barangay level. We do not want any physical confrontation or escalation.

On June 26, 2026 during an SHS12 graduation, my aunt had an argument with my girlfriend and her family, and she has been holding a grudge since then. My father advised us to stay quiet and gather evidence for any proper legal action.

On June 29, we were walking in a long hallway with some obstacles but enough space for people to pass each other. My aunt came running around the corner shouting "(Ilocano) Paumayen!/ Coming!" twice. She then deliberately bumped into my girlfriend. I was on my girlfriend’s right side and felt the impact. After the bump, she said “Wag ka kasing patanga tanga!” (You should stop being so stupid!). My girlfriend sustained a visible bruise from the incident. I have photos of the bruise and the location.

My aunt has a history in our barangay (and previously elsewhere) of starting conflicts involving rumors and verbal altercations. We have not taken legal action before due to family considerations, especially regarding her children. However, this incident, combined with recent rumors she spread about my father and his partner, has gone too far.

We want to know the proper procedure. Is this something we should bring to the barangay for mediation? Can we file for Slight Physical Injuries? What evidence would be useful?

I apologize if my English is not perfect and I admit, I had Ai refine my message to be properly understood and prevent any misleading errors especially me writing under pressure and anger. (if required to send the actual text then sure). We are just looking for peaceful and legal resolution to stop the repeated problems affecting the family and barangay. Thank you for any advice.
