City of Elkhart shares bodycam footage of High Dive Park officer-involved shooting

The City of Elkhart shared body camera footage Wednesday showing the moments leading up to the officer-involved shooting death of a 17-year-old boy at High Dive Park in February.

Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson said the city shared the video because he had previously committed to releasing it when legally able to do so. The news conference was a city event and was not associated with the prosecutor’s office, who previously said it would not release body camera video of the shooting.
