Weekend Cars and Coffee - 1970 Z28 Tribute
A couple shots of my car at a local cars and coffee this weekend. Thanks to J.R for the pics.
New to the Camaro community
I just picked up this 1970 Camaro Z/28 Tribute and absolutely love it.
I’ve always preferred building my own vehicles, but these days I simply don’t have the time for a full build.
When I found this car, it checked nearly every box on my list. It has a 383 stroker, a Muncie M22 4-speed and a 3.73 rear gear. It has QA1 coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, air conditioning, a full roll cage, and feels solid. It drives great!
The previous owner did a fantastic job. The workmanship throughout the car is impressive, and it’s clear a lot of thought, time, and money went into the build.
Looking forward to putting some miles on it, modifying it further and enjoying it with the family.
1970 Steering Wheel Options
The car currently has a Grant steering wheel, and I’m planning to replace it. I’ve been looking at two options from Billet Specialties, the Camber and the Trans Am.
Does anyone have experience with Billet Specialties steering wheels in terms of quality, and durability? Or does anyone have any other recommendations from other brands?
The car is a 1970 Camaro Z/28 tribute with a Pro-Touring theme, so I’m trying to find something that looks period-correct but still has a modern performance feel.
Thanks in advance for any recommendations or photos of your setups.
