In over my head

Followed lane splits video on how to chop my wiring and now after assembling and disassembling 3 times the bike won’t start, I’m at the point where I think I should buy a new harness and start over, the only things I really removed were the headlight wires and a couple connectors which I then wired back up…. If you’re familiar with the video I’m referring to then you’ll see I did exactly what they did in it. What do you guys think I should do

Looking for longer cables

Looking for some longer cables for my 96 vlx 600, just put some new rabbit ear bars on it and I need a longer front brake line and clutch cable. Tj sells them for what I think is way to much money, so if anyone knows where to get some for cheaper I’d appreciate the help!

What are some basic tool besides a sawsall and a grinder that I would need to get into really fabricating my own parts for my bike? What size drill press would I need and what kind of welder? I’ve never done any fab work ever, but I can learn, I just don’t want to get the wrong equipment. I have all the basic tools such as a good ratchet set and power tools like a drill and a grinder.
