We needed another option for this living room-thoughts?

So we came back to our planning, it just felt wrong. The main thing is that this living room has enormous ceilings, and were struggling to make it feel right.

I drew two options out of AI. I put what the room is like at now for reference as well. What do you prefer and what will you change?

Thank you for considering our request and any feedback or thoughts. We clearly need the help 😅

Am I overthinking this? Battery backup vs gas generator

I've been looking into backup power for my house recently. Most outages here are more about keeping the fridge running, charging phones, and having WiFi than powering the whole house.

At first I was set on getting a gas generator, but the part that makes me hesitate with a gas generator is storing fuel and keeping up with maintenance. I know they're reliable, but I'm not sure I want another thing I have to regularly check. I've been comparing portable power stations like Anker SOLIX S2000, Jackery Explorer 2000, and EcoFlow DELTA. On paper they all seem pretty similar. Does anyone here have experience with these backup power stations and can give some advice? Are they actually useful during longer outages?

For those who went with a battery backup:

- Do you regret not getting a gas generator?

- Are they actually useful during longer outages? .
