My grandma got me these utz sourdough special original pretzels from Publix today, they expire on May 18th, 2026. When checking one of the pretzels, as I tend to do, I found this tiny green thingy on it. I’m not sure if it’s a form of mold or not. It’s not fuzzy and looks like part of it is sticking up from a hair (ew). Is it safe to eat or do I need to throw out the whole container?
I (14F) recently made a post on here asking whether or not my symptoms warrant a doctor visit. I got a BUNCHhh of replies telling me to go the ER. I didn’t think my problem was that big nor did I want to face my parents if I went. But yesterday I started to experience vision changes—everything was either bigger or smaller than what it was supposed to look like accompanied by other symptoms. It was disgusting. So I finally called 911 in hopes that would make my parents take me to the ER (it worked.)
We stayed there for about 6 hours, I got bloodwork done and so we were left waiting. I remember at some point I had to call a nurse saying I felt really faint. When the bloodwork finished we were informed I’m not at the point of hospitalization (PHEWWw) and my electrolytes somehow looked fine. (I’m drinking 6-12 ounces of water per day.) I was told I could be discharged if I drank a cup of water; I genuinely couldn’t. I felt nauseous just but sipping it, so my mom poured it out for me in hopes we could just leave. We got home at around 10pm and I noticed something… I still feel horrible. Kinda worse. I’m still dizzy, still nauseous, my chest still hurts; I’m wondering what the point of all that was.
What makes it harder is that I’m getting worse, I’m waking up in the middle of the night extremely hot and dizzy, not even ice packs help; I can’t eat without feeling pain all over my stomach and torso, I can spend an hour just looking out of a window waiting for my symptoms to ease and it’ll feel like 5 minutes. When we were at the ER, I kept getting told I felt freezing despite how hot I felt. My heart rate was kinda weird, one moment it’s 73 the next it’s 100. My glucose was a bit on the higher side but nothing abnormal, thankfully. I’m living off of barely any food, let alone nourishing food, I’m unsure if I’m just being dramatic now but I feel terrible. I’m currently extremely dizzy writing this, I’ve tried eating and drinking water but nothings helping, I’m so cowabummed. I just wish we got a little more out of that very exhausting visit.
