I don't even know if this is the right place for this. I want to start off by saying I am a teenager who comes from a "no secrets" family. We're quite close, though I don't share exactly the same beleifs as my family. This being said, I recently (about 6 months ago) descovered something about my dad. He's autistic, and has really bad PTSD from working as a firefighter when I was a baby, so he gets frustrated and yells easily, though he always apologises afterwards. Anyways, we were on holiday with me, my mam, my dad, my sister, my grandfather and grandmother on both sides of my family, when my dad said something strange. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was along the lines of "yeah, (my mothers name), but they (grandparents) don't know what it's like being tied up as a minor" then my mother gave him a look and gestured towards me. My dad later told me that he would tell me "when I'm older" which usually does mean he will tell me, but this feels like he doesn't want to, and is hoping I'll forget.

I guess, what I want to know, is how the hell do I go about looking for possible information on this? I've already searched things such as "child kidnappings [fathers childhood town] 1980-1990s" as well as variations including my fathers full name. So what's your advice?

That's the best way I can describe it. There are about three things I remember from this show. 1, rhere was an episode where a girl (couldve been a boy, but I'mabout 90% sure it was a masculine woman), mixed, who really liked some type of sport, either basketball or (american) football, had a sort of curse (i think?), where shw was slowly turning into a tree monster. She went to a mantion to talk to someone about it, but all they could do about it was chop off her arm. Another scene I remember, was this woman, who was overlooking a model of sorts, where a voodoo doll of a girl was running through the model where a tree creature was chasing the voodoo doll, and it kept switching between the evil woman watching the model, and the real girl getting chased through the real maze.

I was younf when I watched this, and only saw breif parts of it because it was on in the background while my mother did chores around the house. It would've been 2015-2019, because I saw modern phones in a few scenes.

If it helps my mother likes shows such as Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl. It's style is very creepy, simalarly to PLL, but it had magic so I know it couldn't be that.

So, I watched a lot of random things with my father when I was younger. Around 10 gears ago was when we did this most. Anyway, there's this one film I want to watch because the idea is really interesting to me.

I remember this once scene where the main character goes to the bottom of the ocean, which once was a city, and collects dirt to sell. Dirt is highly valuable in this world, because the earth has been flooded by the oceans. The main character can breathe underwater, becsude he has gills, which is how he can go to the bottom of the ocean. There's also a child who is valuable, I can't remember the gender of them, but they're valuable because they're a map, I belive? Or somethting along the lines of that. I know that the ending was bittersweet, because they eventually found an island to live on, but the main character didn't stay with the rest of the group, but I don't remember why.
