In my own Garden... What next?

So always had these bad boys growing in the law on, always been scared to try.

Is there a step by step, from picking, curing to consuming, start small. Micro dose first.

I'm fortunate, but help me keep my head on right.

Genuinely looking for some advice here , not trying to brag

Before anyone says it, I'm genuinely not posting this to show off or make anyone feel bad. I've just realised I don't really know anyone in a similar financial position, so I'm interested in what people would do in my shoes.

I'm 36, married, no kids and no plans to have kids.

I've been very fortunate financially. I came out of college and got into a good software job. I bought/built my house during the crash and have always been pretty sensible with money.

I've put a serious amount of work into the house and it's worth roughly €680k now. I recently paid another €25k off the mortgage, so I'm down to around €180k remaining and paying about €800 a month.

We also own two apartments in Connacht outright. No mortgages on them and they bring in rental income.

Then things got a bit more interesting recently.

I got a very good redundancy package and currently have about €142k sitting in the bank. I'm also due around €74k from an inheritance next month. Tax has already been paid on that, and I'd probably just leave it earning around 3.01% interest for now.

I used to have it invested into the top 100 S&P, but soon as trump got elected, I invested... Too much movement.

Hindsight, that was a mistake, but I'm still wary of him..

I've also got about €12k left on the PCP. I'm just going to clear it rather than change the car. Honestly, my 222 does everything I need, and I can't see the point in upgrading to a 262 just for the sake of it.

I've approx 75k in a pension too.

So here's where I'm thinking of going next...

Spain.

We already spend a lot of time there and absolutely love it. Both of us work remotely, so I'd love to buy a really nice villa somewhere we actually want to spend time.

The idea would be to spend maybe 3–6 months a year there with my wife and rent it out for the rest of the year.

I'd probably look at borrowing around €100k for the property and paying that mortgage over 10 years. In my head, if I buy in the right location, the rental income from the other 6 months could potentially cover the mortgage.

I know I could buy a €150k apartment in Spain and make the numbers look much easier, but that's not really what I'm after. If I'm going to do it, I'd rather buy somewhere genuinely nice that we love and will actually use.

Longer term, I could potentially sell my current house and move into one of our apartments in town. Although, I'll be honest, I'd struggle with that because the house has a huge amount of sentimental value to me.

So that's basically where I'm at.

On paper, I feel like I'm in a very fortunate position and could make the Spain thing happen without putting myself under massive financial pressure.

But am I missing something?

Would you buy the villa?

Would you just keep piling money into investments?

Would you leave everything exactly as it is?

If you were me, what would you do?

I'm genuinely looking for people to talk sense into me here.

What would you do if you were 36, in my position, with no kids and no plans for them?

Who's drinking the tap water?

So for the last few years we've all seen no drinking tap..

Is that pure BS to boost bottle water sales or is there an actual reason not to drink it?

Ticket API?

I got a new phone and can't seem to find where to download the app for tickets.

I can only get them through the browser.

Any ideas where I can download the app?
