My new kite only comes with 300ft and I want to aim for new hights. I was hoping to find a big spool of "kite string," but that appears to not be a thing. Can you just use a generic string from the hardware store? Is it that easy?What would you recommend? I'd hate to buy the wrong thing and have it snap off in the wind, or get something too heavy and have it weigh the kite down.

I have a 5 foot delta.

I'm struggling to find resources online on how to do this, and I am worried that I'm going to have to rip up the whole interior to run the new one through.

Does anyone have experience with this? Is it odd that the cable snapped in the first place?
