It appears my panicle hydrangea has stalled in growth. It has looked like this for a while? Should I clip back to the new growth? What should I do? I am in zone 8B

Wife recently got me this blackstone for our anniversary. I have been keeping up with it well and have cooked on it quite a bit since getting it. Does this look good? How can I make it better?
