I have an EG4 solar AC and a solar pergola off grid. I do not intend to send the DC into the house to a battery then back out to the mini split.

Is there a type of outdoor battery or enclosure for a battery to make it suitable for outdoor operation near or under the solar array? That way the mini split can run longer.

I currently have one small panel, charge controller, and a garden accessory battery for a pond pump but that Pb Acid battery needs replacing every year or two.

I was thinking about Li-Ion and enclosure that it itself is vented.

What do you think?

There's some mineral rights land available but the surface rights is 0%. I've read the MRO is the dominate rights sometimes requiring the subservient surface rights to remove buildings. Why does this exist? Why would anyone buy SRO with 0% MRO knowing someone else can just remove the building you just built, or even the hill it sits on?

Also read some MRO are allowed some equipment and buildings for extraction, storage etc. Again why does this exist?

I have a 12k BTU EG4 mini split hybrid on DC only on three 575 watt flat mounted qcell panels. Since I've had it running it's been ~80-85 outside and our central AC is set to 78 inside.

On Turbo and 61° it blows cold air just fine, I just thought it should be pulling more than only ~600 watts.

The manual says it 190-1100w and I'd assume it would be on the higher end. Or is that about right for the temperature outside?

I was contemplating adding a fourth panel but not if it's not going to use it.

I need a suggestion for a product. I cut the cord 14 years ago and have used Roku for at least 15 years. Now that Fox will by buying it I need to replace 6-8 TVs with a new streaming box system.

I liked Roku for being third party away from the big companies. I have hated the ads creeping over the years though.

Is there anything like a Roku or what would be a replacement like a Roku?

Thank you everyone for their input. Apparently you need an iPhone for app control of TV in case no remote immediately available. Also no physical "find your remote" button on the device seems like an odd choice and a completely ridiculous omission for families with kids wherein remotes get moved.

So stop suggesting Apple to someone who has no iPhone.
