Is it safe to update your iOS software if you’re WhatsApp isn’t backed up and you’re not logged in to WhatsApp (can’t login)

I’ve been posting about my issue, need some help y’all.
Like I said I can’t get a verification code, I don’t know why.
Maybe it’s because my number is ported but the network said everything is fine
So I’m thinking maybe an update will help but my WhatsApp hasn’t been back up for 10 months so will I lose the chats if I update iOS. Or if I update the WhatsApp app from AppStore.

found this cat in phase 7

friend found this cat outside and he mentioned that they’ve asked already in the area and to see if Reddit can help
if no one claims him in another few days, they’ll put him up for adoption
if anyone knows anyone who lost a cat, or if you have the potential to be a responsible cat parent, let us know thanks

Edit: it’s a HE and neutered, about a year old according to the vet, also very friendly and cuddly (unlike most cats I know👀)
