I love how RE9 proves the protagonists choices can be wrong sometimes

I don't see enough people talk about it but notice how Leon the protagonist wanted to destroy elpis because he thought it's a bad thing, not knowing it's the thing that will save him? While Zeno as the villain wanted you release elpis thinking it was a mind control power, not knowing it's the thing that removed his power? It's so ironic.

The message is so interesting because it means the protagonists are not always right, and the villain's goal is not always wrong even if their intentions is bad.

I think sometimes the protagonists can try to be more pragmatic with the way they deal with the villains, because maybe their goal ends up being a good thing and doesn't go exactly as the villain wanted, the protagonist can outsmart the villain by using their evil plan for the good side' aadvantage.

I can see current Chris doing something like that, like pretending he joins the bad guy's side only to outsmart them and use their plan for a good cause.

Considering that Alex doesn't have the same physical power as Albert on her human form, she only gains that power after mutation and she canonically HATES mutating her body, then i think it makes total sense that she took Albert's clone and raised him so she can use him for her plans, and she encourages him to imitate Albert only because she wants him to be as powerful as him.

Especially based on Zeno's mannerisms and body language he's completely different from Albert despite being played by the same mocap actor, like:

  • Zeno seems to walk with more strutting and showing off than Albert.

  • He treated Grace more politely with a calm tone than his aggressive tone with Leon/Victor, that suggests Zeno is more respectful with women maybe because he's mommy's boy

  • His fashion with white suits might be an obvious hint that he's attached to Alex' fashion, Zeno is exactly how i imagine Alex' spoiled son would dress like.

Like everything about Zeno suggests he's definitely raised by a single mom and it gotta be Alex, their dynamic would be fun like a spoiled son and loving mom only because she uses him as a tool for her plans.

Alex' lore was never explored until RE: Revelations so i think the remakes now will definitely add her lore into the story, like we could see Alex in CV remake or RE1 remake, to see her whereabouts and what she was doing all those years.
