Broker net flow, 10–14 Aug: five brokers net bought Rs 15.6 Cr of RIDI while Naasa net sold Rs 10.6 Cr
NEPSE drops the broker-wise floorsheet after a couple of sessions. I've been storing it daily since May, so I can net a broker's buys against its sells across a whole week instead of one day at a time.
Week of Sun 10 – Thu 14 Aug, 5 sessions. Net turnover = buy minus sell, per broker, per stock.
| Stock | Brokers accumulating | Net bought (Rs Cr) |
|---|---|---|
| SOHL | 5 | +19.52 |
| RIDI | 5 | +15.60 |
| KKHC | 3 | +10.88 |
| MEN | 2 | +6.61 |
| RADHI | 2 | +6.46 |
| NRN | 2 | +5.51 |
Counts a broker only if it net bought ≥ Rs 2 Cr in ≥ 3 of the 5 sessions, so the real figure per stock is larger. That session filter is doing real work: without it the table is topped by ADBLB87, a debenture, at Rs 40.43 Cr and Rs 30.45 Cr from two brokers in a single session. Block placement, not accumulation.
Two things you only see once the week is netted:
- RIDI had five brokers on one side and one on the other. Five firms net bought Rs 15.60 Cr. Naasa alone net sold Rs 10.59 Cr, net seller on 4 of 5 sessions.
- Asian Securities was on both sides. RIDI's largest net buyer (+Rs 5.76 Cr) and SOHL's largest net seller (−Rs 4.93 Cr), same week, near-identical size.
I don't know what either means, and that's the honest answer, a broker is a member firm, not an investor. One client or two hundred, the floorsheet doesn't say.
