This is something I didn’t care at all about at first, but it only takes 1 or 2 messed up pieces of wood before I started to care a lot more lol.
For me, accoustic tops are a must. Single-ply necks would be the next biggest.
Do you take it any further than that? Fretboards? Backs and sides? Electric bodies?

I’m thinking of making a podium like this to hold up my end table. The plan would be to cut 4 triangle shaped boards about an inch thick and glue them together.
My question is: how would you glue them together? Is it as simple as cutting a 45 degree bevel on the sides and glueing them together almost like a picture frame? Or does the length and shape make it somehow more complicated?

Now that I’ve sold a handful of guitars and had some commissions, I could justify upgrading the shop a bit!
Having a drum sander is freaking amazing. This would have taken me forever with a hand plane and never really been flat or even (skill issue lol). Now, this took 3 minutes and is basically perfect
If anyone is on the fence, I highly recommend going for it!
