Someone help me or I'll start crying :'(
I am about ready to just throw this damn thing in the trash. I'm hoping someone here can point out what I'm doing wrong before I give up completely.

I tried to install a jailbreak on this exact device about a year ago and it didn't work. I decided to try again recently, but I'm still running into a wall. I made sure to do a full factory reset before installing the jailbreak, but no luck. I’ve attempted a clean install 3 times now.
Post-jailbreak, it never says/prompts to "install hotfix"
There is no "Update Your Kindle" option available in the settings for me to install hotfix with
When I try opening KUAL, I just get an error message saying: "The application cannot be started."
Has anyone run into this specific combination of issues on the KT5 or this firmware version? Is there a step I'm missing??device about a year ago and it didn't work.
