Hey everyone, hoping someone here can help me figure out what's going wrong.

I successfully jailbroke my Kindle 10th Gen Basic on firmware 5.18.1 using AdBreak about 4 days ago and it's been working perfectly — ads show up on the lock screen before jailbreak no problem.

Now I'm trying to do the same with my Kindle 10th Gen Paperwhite on the exact same firmware (5.18.1). Both devices are registered to the same Amazon account. But the ads simply aren't appearing on the lock screen at all.

Here's everything I've tried so far:

- Factory reset and set up again

- Manual sync and waited over an hour

- Multiple restarts

- Deregistered and re-registered the device

Still nothing. I'm stumped because the setup is essentially identical to my Basic — same firmware, same account, same AdBreak version — and I can't figure out what I'm doing differently or what might be causing the issue on the Paperwhite specifically.

Has anyone run into this with the Paperwhite? Any ideas what I might be missing or doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I recently bought a paperwhite v12 with a firmware of 5.17.... , I couldn't find the filler dummy files to manually download the or run the script so I manually filled with my own files. I can't find the update.bin files, I s3arched for them but theyre nowhere. I put my kindle on airplane mode until I figure it out.

I don't have any problem with koreader, but I was wondering if you can put your book epubs on the kindle main menu, so you can have the original kindle UI. If it's not possible, are there any ways to make koreader look like that?

is there a point in re-running a JB since Winterbreak 2 is out now? I did Winterbreak 1 in april 2025. Will it be more optimized or updated at all?

So i have had a massive headache trying to get the word out, im pretty proud of what I have made and ill just summarise how it work.

Going back to last year, I decided to write a book, on Canva, took me a while but once I'd finished it, i thought ok, lets bang it onto KDP, typed all of my details in etc, then realised PDF's do not work on KDP, so then i thought ok. What do i do next?

So, I'm on Google, trying to find anything that would convert it, i find once tool, get it converted to EPUB - (didnt even know this was a thing at the time) then try to upload to KDP, the document is all over the place, i have a few images in the book and yeah, the images were one seperate pages, text had moved, i thought, what do i do now - so I asked AI - basically told me i can use Calibre and manually format it, Use a formatter which costs, I was thinking why is there nothing out there that can do this really well.

This is really the reason I made it - I have been trying to get people to use the platform but its so difficult, posting on Tiktok, FB, Insta etc, I feel I have solved a really big problem, especially with the Royalty Saver I built into the platform.

Currently, I am a bit of an idiot for doing this, but I spent all of my time developing this and neglected my main business, now im sleeping on my sisters sofa and I need to pay for my daughter, I barely got to her house with the last of my fuel money and couldnt see my mum on her birthday - this is not a charity case, I will find a way out of my situation, in addition, Im not asking people to use the platform to give me revenue, all I ask is, can people at least try it on the free trial and if its good - get the word out there! Any help would be greatly appreciated, any feedback would be greatly appreciated - This is really my last ditch attempt to get Reddit to help my.

Hi, my old Kindle PW gen 3 has gone through the jailbreak process a few weeks ago and for the first time ever I'm discovering the benefits of getting out of Amazon's awful jail.

I have gone through some of KOReader menus -- it definitely has a huge amount of settings and possibilities that I barely imagined before. Setting up text format with more liberty (my initial goal for jailbreaking) was barely the beggining!

I must confess though that the interface is painfully complicated for new users who are coming from your typical GUI -- the questionable location of some buttons (I mean, some as basic as the one to go back to the library or to the previous menu), the constant appearance of obscure settings that have no reason to exist when you are reading...

I recently learned about SimpleUI, which I guess must be a popular plugin around here, and at least it solved some of my issues with the "home screen".

However, I still struggle with some stuff that I can't and won't ever get used to -- that intricate top bar, the rather ugly interface that pops up when I press the screen while reading a book...

Are there plugins that could help me simplifying the whole KOReader experience? :-(

Hey! i know this may be annoying, but i read the pinned posts and its said that you cant jail break the 2024 basic model, but other comments said they were able to do it.

honestly I'm interested in jailbreaking it just for the wallpaper lol since I don't really understand any other benefits and enjoy the native catalong..

i got my Kindle around the beginning of this year and just never logged in, nor ​added wifi, and left it on airplane mode. its on 5.17 iirc

so I'm wondering..can i jailbreak it? and should I even jailbreak it atp??

How to use adbreak without ads? xD

I've had my Kindle Scribe stuck on 15.8.6 for a couple months now with the storage filled waiting for a jailbreak. I understand the process can take forever, but I've definitely just used my Kindle less in the downtime since loading books onto it is such a bigger hassle. I'm wondering if it would be a terrible idea to just move on to the new update that I believe is getting a jailbreak worked on as well.

Also, I know a 15.8.6 jailbreak was released, but as far as I understand, my Kindle won't do it because of the storage drive being an MTP drive or something that doesn't allow script execution easily.
