Anyone else like this chore coat? I thought it was very nice and grabbed it. Didn’t get the pants though.
I want to know what the general consensus is on the identifiers for a Cajun vs Creole.
Context:
Cajun: has roots in the term Acadian, which in modern understanding/use is someone who has ancestry from Acadia or the portion of Canada that the Acadians were expelled from, and then moved to Louisiana. Also considered a Creole, due to the French, Spanish, West African, Indigenous make-up, but may not have all of
those components.
Creole: has roots in the term Criollo, meaning strong roots in Spain but born in the new world (N. America). Modern term refers to people of French, Spanish, West African (Senegal + Mali) DNA, and sometimes indigenous. The French DNA can be from Acadians or from French settlers who came directly from France.
How come some journeys say East Central Louisiana Acadians or Maritime Acadians etc., but when you look at the breakdown, it won’t reflect Acadian but French? Is there a threshold of Acadian DNA required to get the journey? I’m assuming not because I’ve seen people get the journey with no specific Acadian labeled dna. This is just for my leisurely understanding, thanks in advance!
Does anyone know anything about the motorcycle accident that caused a fatality on Dual Highway today?
If you have the “Louisiana Creole & African American” Community on your Journeys, I’m asking that you post your journey and DNA results in the comments and where you are from! I am extremely curious on what the most common or least common DNA percentages are that make this community up. I’ve added my own results into the mix first. I’m from Atlanta, but my fathers grandfather is from New Orleans, 17th Ward. No pressure just want to learn more about this group! Thanks in advance!
I just want the “scroll” portion with the new Latin words on it instead please. Will tip $10 if that’s fair.
