Hi all,

I'm looking into getting a running watch. I always run with my Android phone in an armband. I'd like to switch to a watch.

My only challenge is not having any connectivity to texting. I run long distances, sometimes when we're traveling away from home too. I just want the ability to be able to text in case I'm running longer than expected or in the rare case something happens (e.g. a fall), etc.

I'm struggling to find a solution among the watches out there. Am I asking for something that doesn't exist? Some posts suggest Pixel watch 4, but I'm more interested in a running specific watch like a Garmin (I won't be wearing it ever outside of running).

Any insight you can provide? Thanks!
