Is this a good price for the 75” Hisense U65 Pro?

Saw the 75” Hisense U65 Pro at Costco for around $750 and I’m seriously considering it.

Mostly for the living room. Movies, Netflix, sports, some gaming. Nothing too crazy.

I was originally trying to stay closer to $700, but 75” MiniLED at this price feels hard to skip.

Anyone here bought one from Costco? Worth it, or is there something better around the same price?

Prior authorization isn’t utilization management anymore. It’s unpaid clinical labor.

I spent almost an hour yesterday getting a prior authorization pushed through for a medication the patient has been stable on for two years, and not one minute of that was reimbursed or counted as anything. It isn't utilization review at this point, it's just free labor they've offloaded onto us because we're the ones who cave first when a patient is waiting. Every denied authorization means another portal login, another peer to peer with someone who isn't even in my specialty, another few days a patient goes without something that should be routine. I didn't go through residency to spend my afternoons re-justifying a drug I already documented three times in the chart. How is everyone else absorbing this without burning out?

Hisense U7 has been a pretty great couch gaming upgrade

Had the Hisense U7 for about a month now, so I figured I’d post a quick update. I bought it mostly for gaming, not really as a “serious home theater” thing, and it has been better than I expected.

Lately I’ve been playing a lot of racing games on it, mostly Gran Turismo. This is where the bigger TV setup really works for me. Sitting back with a controller, seeing the whole track, the trees, the sky, the cars ahead of you, all on a big screen just feels way more fun than playing on a smaller monitor. Fast turns and camera movement look good too. I don’t get that messy blur I used to notice on my old TV.

The 165Hz panel is nice, especially if you connect more than just a console, and games feel quick in Game Mode. I’ve also been using the Game Bar more than I thought I would. It’s handy for checking VRR, refresh rate, and HDR without digging through menus.

Picture-wise, HDR games have a lot of punch. Bright tracks, sunlight, brake lights, and car paint all pop nicely. The U7 can get up to 3000 nits, so HDR actually feels different instead of just looking like regular brightness with a label on it.

It also has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports, which is nice because I can leave everything plugged in and not think about it. Console, PC, whatever else, it’s all ready.

I still think a monitor is better if you only play competitive shooters. But for racing games, sports games, single-player games, and couch gaming, Hisense U7 has been a pretty solid upgrade for the price.
