Simple mod to illuminate charging tray

Simple mod to illuminate charging tray

I know it's not much, but at night the tray under the main screen is a black pit of darkness. We want to store the garage opener there so I don't have to keep opening up the storage bin but it's invisible there.

Anyway, this is just a strip of blue COB LEDs with a dimmer board and 12V lighter plug mostly hidden behind the kick panels. It turns on with the car and apart from being too bright, does a great job. Just need to wind it back a bit further.

Cleaning under the front wipers

Hey folks. My new Seal had its first wash and polish today. I noticed that you can’t lift up the wipers regardless of the frunk open/close state. I’m willing to accept this strange limitation to my new baby but am I doing something wrong? Is the there a way to fully lift the wipers?

Tyre pressures set high by dealer

Hi all. Picked up my Seal Performance this week. Love it. I note that the tyres are inflated to 51psi all around when warm and right now quite cold are about 49psi, where the plate indicates 36psi front, 42psi rear. I tend to go with the manufacturer's indication.

With my previous Subaru Forester, the service guys insisted that a higher pressure was recommended. Is there something similar with BYDs? Am I right in setting back to the recommendation on the plate?

BYD Seal at dealer with sunglasses holder fitted above driver

I cannot find any references to any Seal having a sunglass holder as standard but I just witnessed one on a Seal Premium at a BYD dealer in Brookvale. We pick up our Performance on Tuesday so are very excited. Today we dropped in to exchange some documents and have our car valued for a possible trade-in (lol - know).

While waiting around we sat inside a demo Seal and my wife gasped. Oh my god! she says. Is that a sunglass holder? Rubbish, I think. There is famously no such thing, but there it is - located were a driver side grab handle might be. I tried it out - it works well. I tried to remove it but it was very well stuck on. Looked 100% factory.

Is this a thing? Should we expect to see it on our Seal?
