👁️ The Pitch
Hi everyone! I am a writer and a tech wizard who loves being a player, but I recognize that running a live game isn't my strong suit. I have spent the last few weeks building the entire technical and narrative infrastructure for a highly unique, interactive campaign setting called The Hotel Orborus, and I am looking for a Dungeon Master / Game Master to co-write and run the live sessions with me.
⚙️ What I Bring to the Table (The Tech & The Lore)
You won’t have to build this from scratch. I have already coded a custom Discord bot integrated with live, interactive web platforms through Ngrok tunnels.
- Live Interactive Events: I have programmed automated events like an "Isolation Protocol" escape room where players are trapped in a secret channel with a live 3-minute timer. Their browsers are dynamically updated with read-only clue documents, featuring built-in glitch effects, creepy audio loops, and full-screen psychological jump scares.
- The Setting: The Hotel Orborus is an infinite, interdimensional hotel managed by Squiby, the God of Chaos. Players arrive as "New Arrivals" dragged violently from their realities, completely unaware of how they got here.
- The System Concept: The regular players have to earn their way into the hotel. Meanwhile, the server moderators (The Night Auditors) and DMs (The Architects) play as pre-existing hotel staff who already have established bodies and routines in the hotel's timeline.
🧠 What I'm Looking For in a Partner (The Architect)
I need a creative co-writer and GM who wants to operate the engine of this world. Since our overseer is the God of Chaos, I want to move away from rigid, standard rules and build custom skill trees, unique player progression, and chaotic homebrew mechanics. Ideally, you are someone who:
- Loves designing custom mechanics, skill trees, and rule variations.
- Enjoys a mix of psychological mystery, roleplay, and player agency.
- Is highly neurodivergent-friendly. This server is an absolute safe space for people who hyperfixate on deep world-building and creative brainstorming without rigid gatekeeping.
- Wants to focus on running the sessions and shaping the narrative, leaving the heavy python coding, web development, and bot logic entirely to me.
